The passing of Haruo Nakajima

No, you probably don't know the name but you've probably seen him "act" in several films...

He was the guy inside the suit in the original "Godzilla" (1954) and played the character until 1972.

He was 88.

This is a bummer. I grew up watching the campy Godzilla movies from Japan. The man in the costume was Haruo Nakajima. Goodbye, Haruo. You will be missed.

I also loved rooting for Godzilla in the movies, a favorite of my childhood memories. My mom and I used to love to watch them together, a simple pleasure in life. Thank you, Mr. Nakajima, for all the good movie times. RIP.
