Mount RushMoore - Cooper Rush Thread **merged**

After all the years after aikman and lucking into Romo and Dak you can't let a kid like Rush go. He's got "it" Whatever "it" is. Romo, Dak and Rush are all cut from the same cloth. It's pretty amazing actually

And yet somehow Rush will be relegated to the practice squad while Moore remains the primary backup...

At least I hope not, but these kind of things seemingly happen every year

I doubt it. Even if Moore is listed as the backup, Rush will be on the 53, he just may be inactive on game day. If he's on the practice squad, another team can "poach" him off our roster.

I still think there's a 50/50 chance that Moore is named the backup, but it would only be because this staff is reluctant to put an inexperienced rookie in that position. While I don't agree with that thought process, I can understand it. I'm hoping Rush can negate that reluctance with another stellar performance next week against Houston's starters and 2s.

It probably been a lot cooler(or maybe even pretty hot) if the O.P. would've channeled algore
By stating: "the science is in,the debate is over" but he probably already considered that and quickly rejected it as being construed as political,,:D
(See what I done there,buddy?:lmao:)

Safety play is poor so far. Byron Jones I still feel is overrated... he's actively doing little all the time.

Yep, agree completely. The splash plays for the Raiders appeared to me to have a lot to do with the safeties not being where they needed to be when the receiver went on a go route and past the cb who was playing zone. Overall I'm worried that our zone coverage looks vulnerable to these go routes.

This FO truly lost it if 2 things don't happen

1. Rush and Brown should be on the 53 and Moore should be cut

2. Rush should start and play the bulk of the last PS game

In fact .. Mount RushMoore™ .. and yes, I've been waiting to use that one :D

The debate is over, if there was still any question. Rush has proven he can make plays and score touchdowns, which is something Moore has failed to do over and over.

Right now, Rush even looks better than the veteran quarterbacks we threw out there two years ago after Romo was injured.

Again, this is a perfect time for a love button sir.:flagwave:

Rush looking good again.......we CAN'T try and sneak him onto the PS......he's worked hard and deserves to be the #2.
I'm quite honestly not sure why some of us are still doubting it. Rush was our unequivocal #2 when the front office doubt of Moore hit the media earlier this week. Heck, to me, he was #2 after the 2nd preseason game. It's easy to see how slow it looks to him. It looked the same to Dak last year.

Credit our scouting dept. They are nailing it lately.

All this means is they keep 3 QB's, and we lose a player like Noah Brown, or whoever. Just because the team doesn't want to get rid of a player it should.
If this was Belichek, Moore would be hitting the road on the cutdown, if not already.

But no, we have coaches that can't see the light at times.
