PFT: Flournoy soars after 2025 season

"I’m just out there playing freely,” Flournoy said. “I know what’s on the play sheet. I know the calls. I know what play to run. For me, I’m not out there thinking. I’m just out there executing.”
Loved this draft pick. Big upgrade from Tolbert. I'm very confident he could step in for Lamb or Pickens if needed without a huge dropoff. It sounds like his confidence is sky high too.

Tolbert is one of the bigger disappointments for me.

I didn't expect much from him coming into the league, but when he was on the field after his rookie year, he often looked like a smooth, natural WR.

He has never looked as good as Flournoy has, though.

Need to see more!! 2025 is over with, one little ankle injury that continues to bother him all season will be over for him and we won't see the player we saw in 2025. Just hoping he isn't one of the many players that have gotten us excited only to never mind!!:(

Solid #3. Happy to have him.

Ask him to be a two? Someone will probably pay him that way when the time comes. Not likely here for ine reason or another.

All love and respect to Little Lord Flournouy, but Anthony Smith is going to take that #3 WR spot.

As always, if this doesn't happen I will claim my login was hacked and deny any responsibility.

Oh Lawd, this time of year, I swear. Let's hope he never has to step in for them. A good #3 is all we need from him. If Pickens does move on after this season, Flournoy is not his replacement.

I'm curious what parts of his game you see flaws in.

I think this guy is fine considering the role they are asking of him. Yeah there’s always the desire to upgrade but there’s more spaces on the board than the amount of chips they are given. It’s about choices.

Route running and footwork technique are both suspect. The good news is those can be improved with coaching and effort.

everyone has pet cats. What makes him yours? Genuinely curious.
I thought I saw something in him going back to the latter part of the '24 season and then when I heard his story and saw how he filled in last season, I became a fan. I don't know if he can be a legit WR2 — maybe, but I think he at least fits in really well here with what's going on now.

He's a decent receiver, I just don't see all-world in him yet. We're happy he's better than Tolbert but that ain't saying much. Flournoy is good but he's not even Cedric Wilson yet. He duplicates last season and he will be. It's easy for him to eat when one or both of the bigs are out there but replacing one of them and schemed for on a week by week basis, that's another step up we have to see. Now his tape is out there to be attacked. Let's see how he responds before we're crowning him as Pickens' replacement.

Flournoy is the real deal IMO. I think hes a big reason why either Lamb or Pickens wont be a Cowboy in 2027.

We have a pretty good sample size from him at this point to suggest that he is capable of being a WR2 in this league. He seems to be incredibly effecient inside the numbers catching 22 of 23 passes last year. The big question I have still is can he work the field vertically on a consistent basis or not.

For this year, more of last year will be terrific.

I have my doubts he will ever be a WR2, but I would love to be wrong. Maybe his small school background and 6th-7th round projections were simply misses by the draft industry.

Actually, there is game evidence to support Flournoy as a potential #1 WR let alone a #2.

His performance per snaps played has to be on par with better than avg NFL WR2's league wide.

The dude stepped into *CeeDee's* WR1 role and balled.

Yup, that’s why I was cool with it if we traded Pickens for more D help, Flo stepped up last year and I think we would be good with him as wr2.

Both times he's been asked to do it, he
broke 100 yards. Consider that Tolbert had just as many if not more snaps during the first game CD missed, it's impressive. People are looking at his yards without considering his efficiency or snap count are not seeing the bigger picture with Flournoy. I mean, you also have to be blind to not notice the guy's ALWAYS wide open. Dak missed him on several would-be touchdowns or he'd have more yards and TDs off of just a handful of snaps.

Small school guy so that's what I attribute the draft projections to. That, and he had some setbacks. But the mere fact that he was projected at all says something, in my mind.
