News: ESPN: Taking note of practice differences between the Cowboys and Texans

Pretty sure Dallas in the parts not open to the public or media are working on the Giants game plan. some basics at least.

- Rookie cornerback Chidobe Awuzie saw his first work in team drills in a couple of weeks because of a hamstring strain. Safety Xavier Woods (hamstring) took some turns in practice, as did receiver Ryan Switzer (hamstring). The Cowboys hope all three will be able to play a little Thursday.

- Defensive end Charles Tapper was back to practice after missing a week with a neck strain. He put an impressive spin move on offenesive tackle Byron Bell in pass-rush drills that left Bell flat-footed.

True, but how bad must Jourdan Lewis be hurt? That's the worst hamstring pull in league history.

Again, Lewis was banged up quite a bit in college. He's small and I don't know why so many guys on here are enamored with him. Hope I'm wrong and they're right.

Wow. 5 whole jumping jacks? I hope they're making sure everyone's hydrated.

Most likely they had earlier warmups, maybe before a walk through practice. And this was just a small warmup, which was the only thing needed to get to a regular practice.
The reporter did not see the earlier, nor thought of it to know to report. Only on what they currently seen, in their limited time.

Well Garrett used to be able to do all 5 when he was playing for us. Now if he is not able to, Moore chips in because he is the next great Cowboys HC in training

This story again reminds of what Jonathan Cooper said earlier this year “These guys aren’t just hype. They work hard -- one of the hardest-working group of guys"

and what Ronald Leary said when he got to Denver, "Everybody just needs to be pushed more and just work harder and that’s what we’re trying to do as a group."

It's obvious the coaching staff has these guys in the right mindset on the practice/playing field(s).... just need for some guys to carry it out w/ them off-the-field. :)

He missed the first 3 games of his senior year with a bad back and that's it. Harbaugh said he was held out as a precaution and could have played. Michigan played Hawaii, UCF, and Colorado in those first three so there wasn't much of a need in rushing back his senior CB who was going to enter the NFL draft that same year. As far as being enamored with him, in only 10 games played he managed to earn 1st team All American and Big Ten DB of the year honors. He was probably the best press coverage corner in a strong DB draft. The kid sticks like glue and has a nose for the ball. Hamstrings aren't something he struggled with in college, and it's a pretty common injury for a rookie entering his first NFL training camp (as we see from our other rookie DBs). It's disappointing that he's not out there, but I don't believe I'll give up on him just yet :).

This injury hurts the least because Dallas has Scandrick, Awuzie who can play the slot. I say start Lewis on PUP and get him ready. Dallas has plenty of CBs to compensate until he is 100%
Three words.

Nolan Carroll sucks.

I also think missing time because of his trial didn't help him either. But I believe the kid is a baller and can't wait to get him in some sub-packages this year.
