While safety T.J. Ward has been a key member of the Denver Broncos defense for the past few years, he might have played his last game with the team.

According to Mike Klis of 9News, "The Broncos are expected to part ways, preferably through trade, with strong safety T.J. Ward by 2 p.m. [local time] Saturday."

I know this has been thrown out already. Feel free to merge, felt this was new info. Is he worth a look at all? I don't know much about Denver football other than they should have traded for Romo.

I don't know if Dallas would have any interest in Ward but from what I observed this preseason, Jeff Heath hasn't impressed....

Was going to say - he appears to have regressed.

I don't know if we'd be interested in Ward, though. I like the idea of going into the season with Kavon Frazier starting at SS, actually. He performed admirably against the run in the preseason.

Safeties: Jones, Frazier, Woods, Heath...not horrible, but not quite there either.

I'd rather spend a higher pick on a Safety next draft. 2nd round. Jabrill Peppers looks amazing in Cleveland, btw.

I'd sign him and cut Heath in a heartbeat

Safety is way under rated by fans and is a critical position. Ward would bring experience which our secondary is sorely lacking

I'd feel much better with Jones, Ward, Frazier and Woods

You guys said the same thing about Reggie Nelson a few years ago then he went to Oakland for 8.5M/2YRS and had 5 INTs and a pro bowl.

Same thing about Orakpo...CZ made every excuse not to sign him. Then he goes to the Titans and has 18 sacks in two seasons and a pro bowl.

Here we have TJ Ward, one of the top safeties in the league...yet once again some of you desire to roll with Heath despite watching him take horrible angles throughout the preseason.

:banghead:

I know ward is a safety and Haden is a cb but if his deal is anywhere near Haden's I'd say it's a hard pass on acquiring ward.

Heath has always been a wing and a prayer as a starter. The fact that Megatron retired, doesn't necessarily mean that he wont be torched again.

Heath has been remarkedly better since then. In that game, he was a rookie out of Saginaw Valley State going against the GOAT of his generation. That said, I would rather have Ward.

I have never understood the love for Jeff Heath anyway. He has never impressed me. Better than when he started playing but I have never seen starter quality from him.

If not injured and out for a length of time, he would be the best safety on this team. But I'm sure he will get a deal similiar to Haden. I'm sure they won't look his way.

I think they'll look his way. Haden's agent confirmed that Dallas made him an offer. I think they'll do the same with Ward. Money is the question.
