So for a 7th round pick, which will never make the team next year anyway, we could have had him for $4.5 million. This is going too far to the extreme of staying away from free agents. This was a gift from heaven. A high end lockeroom leader at your biggest weakness who will not break the bank with a long term deal. I'm on board with their recent approach but this non move goes too far. This was the move that could have made them serious Super Bowl contenders. Sorry, but you aren't winning in the playoffs with Jeff Heath on the field.

This team seems to have no clue when it comes to putting together a defense. I don't understand the excessive avoidance of signing free agents that have actually played well with other ball clubs. Instead we bring in bums like Carol and Benwickere or DE's that can't get to the QB but certainly know how to get themselves suspended.
