The only thing worse than the game is the attemps by most to analyze it.

Everyone is being blamed but one of the worst offender rarely gets much blame and the other didn't get enough blame.

For instance, people saying La'el was terrible, have no clue. He shut down Miller for about 3 quarters until the Cowboys had to pass on every snap and Dak had to hold the ball longer trying to get back into the game.

The blame should all go to Dez and Zeke.

The Cowboys formula is to use a super running game to make it easier for a young QB to have succees and to help a very young defense.

Zeke looked distracted and possibly unmotivated. He also looked sluggish and possibly too heavy. Hopefully it was just the altitude.

Dez can't consistently get open. He is a QB-UNfriendly #1 WR. He runs out of bounds on many sideline routes and is the worst route runner of any #1 WR that I've seen. It is obvious when he does not expect to get the ball because he barely even runs on those plays. His run blocking is comical.

Fix those 2 issues and everyone gets better. That would reduce the amount of time the defense is on the field and drastically help Dak.

If they could magically replace Dez with Julio Jones or even Jordy Nelson, the Cowboys would be a completely different team.

You are right, except the offensive line did not have a very good game at all. When you have three all-pros up front, you'd expect some running lanes to open no matter how good the opposing front seven is (and aside from Von Miller and Domata Peko, I can't name any other Broncos d-lineman or linebacker).

Yesterday's loss was a team effort. Dez and Zeke were bad. So were about 40 other Cowboys.

I give passes to DeMarcus Lawrence (7 tackles, 2 sacks, forced fumble), Dan Bailey, Chris Jones, and Chidobe Awuzie (hurt early and hardly played). Every other active player- STUNK.

Play calling as well. No fullback until we're massively behind.

Umm no

Blame yesterday goes in this order:

1. Defense
2. Dak
3. Head Coach

Dez cant throw himself the ball and zeke cant run when 4 defenders are in the backfield every snap

Nope, I covered that.

The team is built such that it requires a super run game and receivers that can get open in order for a young QB to succeed.

Zeke is a top 10 pick and Dez is very highly paid.

Dak is a 2nd year 4th round QB.

Not the same expectations at this point.

the problem here is we rely on DEZ too much for key 3rd down conversions,Dak needs to spread the ball around like he did last season.

We pay Dez Bryant to win 1 on 1 coverage. Not only does he lose these battles, he also drops catachable passes, or as was the case yesterday, let's them go through his hands into the defenders lap.

He's a worse version of 2008 Terrell Owens. TO could at least still stretch defenses vertically at 35 years old.

X, i respect your opinions but I cant agree with this.

Dak's accuracy has been erratic all season. And we cant use the "2nd year 4th round qb" excuse due to his stellar play. He cant get all the praise when things go great and be absolved of all blame when things go poorly. Even the head coach yesterday called him out and said he has to be better. Most of his throws to Dez this year havent even been close...

Having not read the entire thread, I will say- blame needs to be put upon the OL and TE's also. This was a terrible game for them.
Zeke was getting eaten up behind the line on almost all of his 9 carries.

Maybe if Dez ran routes with any semblance of consistency we wouldn't be having these issues.

Every time Dez goes up against a good corner, he does nothing.

He's had more targets than any receiver in the league, and he's 50th in catches.

He can't separate.

He has no idea where Dez will be due to horrible route running.

NFL QBs throw before the WR's break. If the WR does not do what the QB expects, then the QB looks inaccurate.

If Dez cuts at 45 degree angle when Dak expects 60 degree angle, then it Makes Dak look innaccurate.

Dak looks accurate to Witten and Beasley...

Dez may still be a beast from the athletic standpoint, but his hands aren't what they used to be. His route running is mostly awful. Aikman commented the other day that route running now as compared to when he played is a joke. Irvin ran perfect routes. Perfect routes lead to really nice easy throws. PS. Jordy Nelson is a broken wide receiver these days and can't stay healthy. I wouldn't say he is an upgrade to Dez. Double PS. Dak needs to work on his mechanics. He has thrown some really lousy passed the last two weeks. Hell, we should have beaten the Giants by three touch downs last week if he could have thrown the ball better. I guess we got spoiled last year because we didn't lay an absolute egg the entire season. Well we laid a Ostrich egg yesterday.
