Cliched nonsense

Dak has been shaky since the Raiders pre season game, and that had nothing to do with tape
What kind of defensive scheme coaches run is influenced heavily by tape. Cliche or not.
Denver dared Dak to beat single coverage.

It absolutely true that Zeke/running game monster success last season made Dak and the passing game so much better. But Dak still had to execute and he did.

The drama is building and it's exciting!!
I've seen this little drama play out over the last 45 years several times.

First with Craig Morton and Staubach..

Then with Danny White..

Then with Aikman and Walsh

Then with everybody after him

And now DAK.

There always comes a time where the QB is questioned no matter the talent level.

It's the nature of the position.

I've watched both Dak and Wentz games this year, and I can tell you that Wentz is spinning circles around Dak with virtually no running game. The Eagles QB looks poised and not afraid to let it loose. Wentz did play a bad Commanders secondary but he looked very good against the Chiefs on the road.

Dak is his own problem right now and he needs to figure it out.
Wentz looked good against the chiefs by putting up 20 points?

They would've kicked Dak's *** last season. Tape has nothing to do with that. They have the personnel to pull it off. Why is it they dared Dak to beat them. Maybe they looked at it and said these receivers can't beat us. And it would be foolish of them to play man to man when it obvious we Had given up on the run.

Tape has nothing to do with Dak missing a open Dez five yards away. Dak has been off. Lazy to blame it on tape.

He's working with half the offensive talent Dak has.

Wentz is progressing. He looks very promising.

It's all true if he doesn't prove him wrong. I hope Dak makes him stick his words where the sun don't shine!
Did you not watch the great game he played in the playoffs? Was it his fault the defense was on the field last? I dont know if youre old enough to remember Brady wasnt Brady of now when he first started. He was a game manager whos defense and kicker won his first 2 super bowls for him.

Brady's 1st 3 seasons (not including rookie year he played 1 game).....

2001 - 63.9 completion %, 18 TDs, 12 INTs, 86.5 qbr.
2002 - 62.1 completion %, 28 TDs, 14 INTs, 85.7 qbr.
2003 - 60.2 completion %, 23 TDs, 12 INTs, 85.9 qbr.

Tom wasn't exactly the greatest QB during the regular season during his early years (not talking playoffs).

They just loaded wentzs offense up this year. There are no more "no weapons" excuses for wentz. Dak is working with a quarter of the defense wentz is. "Game manager" russell wilson won a superbowl with a great defense and limited offense. Why didnt superstar wentz even make the playoffs with that same formula?

You want to compare that running game and receiving corps to what Dak has? Good gosh.

Dak can't win a game like a Brady can.
That's actually true. Brady can have a horrible day and still win, because (historically) he has a defense.

The last time Brady was in Denver (2016 reg season) he put up these numbers...
16 of 32 (50%) 188 yds (5.9 ypa) 0 td 0 int 68.2

...and won the game 16-3.

The time before that, in the 2015 playoffs, he actually had to take chances and try to score points.
27 of 56 (48%) 310 yds (5.5 ypa) 1 td 2 int 56.4

...and lost that one 20-18.

What? He was 11-14 that game, for 110 yards, a TD and a 124 rating.

Shaky?

Lol exactly and not just that why wouldn’t it also be a product of the defense adjusting to him based on more game tape to review?

I did watch and I'm a lot older than you think. Did you not watch RG3 have a great rookie year and then fall off the planet. Whats wrong with a second year player proving themselves. Don't be so sensitive.

I was listening to one of the Sirius NFL shows when Williams popped up as a guest speaker. Here are a few of his comments about Dak:

  • I've been saying all along, Dak is a game manager.
  • Dak can't win a game like a Brady can.
  • Zeke is the reason more than Dak that the Cowboys won so much last year
  • There's a reason Dak was only a 4th round pick. You saw why yesterday

One freaking bad game and the cockroaches come out of the woodwork.

honestly those aren't bad points by Williams and its likely he is correct. I don't see anything wrong with Dak being game manager (bus driver). Now you need really good running game & defense to go with that. Dallas has good running game and is work in process on defensive rebuild.

I keep going back to the playoff game against Green Bay.

Once we got down 21-3, he put the team on his back and went blow to blow against Aaron Rodgers and almost pulled that game out.

Prescott has it in him. But for some reason, he's more reluctant to pull the trigger this year. Mind you, both the Giants and Broncos have better secondaries than the Packers had.

But when times get tough, he needs to get back into that mode of going downfield. If the rush is coming hard, get out of there and run for first downs. He's athletic enough to do it. Get enough first downs and the defense will pull back a little bit.

He's still young and learning. He will get there.

It is very obvious that Eagles O-line is no where near as talented as Dallas but that doesn't prevent Wentz from going deep.

Dak very learn how to read the back end of the defense when the box is loaded otherwise his NFL career won't last long. If you don't have a problem with the team's QB throwing 56 passes with an average of 5.5 yds per completion go watch the Brandon Weeden tapes.

Here's the reality that people don't want to grasp.

The assumption by a lot of people has been that Dak has been a product of the Cowboys system and Elliott and the OL. It's up to Dak to change that narrative that had formed heading into this season.

Through 2 games, he's done nothing to change that narrative. That's reality. I know it bothers some of you but that's because some struggle to break out of their fandom and look at things from an unbiased perspective.

Now some here are down on him and some have even pretty much written him off. I have not. He played well too many times last year, made too many big throws for me to think he's just a small time game manager QB. But even I have some concerns right now............... he's not the QB we saw last year. He seems hesitant to throw the ball more than 7 yards down the field, quickly looking for his dump off. He also seems skittish in the pocket all of a sudden.

This is a very big game coming up for Prescott. If he struggles again, against what is a good secondary, smart fans will start to get concerned.

all really good points. When I saw sweat pouring off Dak face in Giants game I quickly realized this feels more stressful for him than last year. Everyone handles stress differently and by end of season we will know if Dak can turn that stress into keeping him on the edge and performing or he will succumb. It's not complicated.

He's right...I have no problem with it. Dak is a 2nd year 4th round QB...he may get there someday but it usually takes a few years for QBs to emerge, it doesn't matter how great the supporting cast is. Expecting Dak to be elite already is unfair to him. All Dak needs to do is continue to develop and stay healthy.

This is the reality of having a young QB in the NFL, folks. There will be plenty more multi-INT games but we can only hope Dak will learn from them and get better. From all we see, Dak seems to have the right mentality so far...that's all we can expect.

Bull, he is just having some accuracy issues this season. I love how quick every one is pile on, he is a young QB there are going to be some ups and downs.
Some of y'all are just shameless. Nobody is piling on it's just the things that made him a 4th rd pick are showing up. I don't think it's time to worry all that much but y'all have to understand this guy as qb is going to get criticized. Some of y'all acting like people are saying untoward things to your mothers or something.
