Yeah I do when Dak has a bad game but Dak has a very bright future ahead of him. It's just right now, Tony could have made Denver respect the deep threat. Dak's time is coming though. Tony's strength was that 20-30 yard pass which seems to be Dak's weakness.

Fox broadcaster and former Cowboy quarterback Troy Aikman suggested at one point that Dallas could be missing their old quarterback, Tony Romo, who was notorious for his big-play ability.

While it’s just the second game of the season, Prescott’s play continued a trend from last season–smart, yet conservative quarterback play. Cowboys’ head coach Jason Garrett also seemed to agree with Aikman’s notion.

“When they play that style of defense, you have to be able to consistently attack with the passing game,” Garrett said, via the Dallas Morning News. “At different times today, I thought we were able to do that, and at other times we weren’t. We didn’t make the plays, for whatever reason. We really needed to have [consistent] success throwing the ball. We were not able to do that.”

All, literally all, quarterbacks, even the great ones, have games that are considered even below their own personal standards. It comes with the territory and no quarterback is or will ever be an exception to that reality.

So, it is beyond hilarious that former quarterbacks like Troy Aikman and Jason Garrett would even attempt to fuel a hindsight controversy like this. There was a perfect time for comprehending possibilities such as this and, in the case of this franchise (and the media for that matter), it was LAST season. That was then. This is now. It is Dak Prescott's time now. Being shortsighted is what it is. There is zero justification for doing this idiotic backtrack AFTER the fact.

The first two games are in the books. Time to move on to Arizona and week three forecasts.

Romo will be a 70 year old man in the booth and we are still going to see articles discussing do the Cowboys miss Romo.....let him go. Please. They won nothing with him......that probably wouldn't have changed now.

I think we miss a vertical passing game right now. Dak needs to be able to throw the deep ball and allow some room underneath and for our running game. I believe it will come with time and patients.

The usual mouth breathing crowd will say they don't miss Romo because he never won anything, then turn around in the same breath and blame the defense for holding Dak back. As if the same defense didn't hold Romo back? Lol its hilarious when their bias shines through.
