Some guys are really doing well and are showing promise. Others are disappointing or playing poorly as some thought. Last night was all about Dak and Lawrence

Players Im excited about or happy with:

-Lawrence (Looks all world)
-Dak
-Butler
-Malik Collins
-Jourdan Lewis
-Xavier Woods
-Chaz Green (Been really hard on him. Nice job, can he stay healthy?)

Guys I am down on after 3 games:
-Collins RT
-Zeke (Yah he is great, but not enough make em miss)
-Byron Jones (definitely no superstar in the making)
-Jaylon Smith (not 100% and playing poorly)

Guys I think are 100% garbage:

-Jeff Heath (Said it many times and I will say it again. Hes awefull)
-Williams WR (Would anyone notice or care if this guy was cut?)
-Crawford DE (Can we please cut the guy after this year?)

What is t you guys are seeing with Byron? What do you guys want from him? Seriously asking...his coverage skills are a asset. He may be a corner. We will know by the end of the season.

Terrence and Crawford I thought both played well....

You had me until Williams. I'm not a big fan, but he isn't garbage. Crawford and Heath? You have a point...not good.

He does have some solid cover skills in the slot. However he doesnt seem to have the insitncts for the safety position in zone, a nose for the ball, or a mean streak with tackling and being an enforcer. I would expect him to do his job better than what he is doing.

Yah there are a few on here that like Williams, I will never understand why. And telling me that he is a great blocker doesnt cut it for me.

Crawford played pretty well yesterday.

One thing people except for the odd Dallas media guy are not talking about is how bad Witten has been blocking this year. I know it's sac religious to criticize him, but it's been poor to say the least.

Want to see him make a play that is actually meaningful to the game.

He is decent in coverage. Lots of guys are.

He is afraid to hit (see last weeks game), is always a step too late, hesitates, and hasn't made a single game changing play in three years. He is literally the very definition of JAG.

He has brought nothing to this team as a first round pick other than an impressive workout video.

Maybe if this team would decide where to play Byron Jones he can get better. The kid is flipped all over the place. I do agree to remove him from safety, last night he made so damn good plays breaking up passes playing as a Db. Not sure what some of you were watching last night.

Noticed this too last night, although only on one play.

In all fairness, sometimes they ask him to cut across the line and block a fully charging DE, which is ridiculous to ask 35 year old Jason Witten to do that.

I agree with most of your list.

DOWNS
-I don't like Zeke's body language at all. He seems lethargic and uninspired. And slow. Very slow. We're 2-1 DESPITE him so far.

-Byron Jones seriously needs to be a corner full time. He has 1on1 cover skills, and not much else whatsoever. As a safety, if you need someone to trail their man by a step and JUST miss out on making a play, Byron Jones is an all-pro.

-La'el concerns me to a certain degree. I think he is still adjusting to the RT position. But when quickness is involved (either blocking out on the edge against DBs or quick ends), he really struggles and whiffs a lot. Hopefully he improves.

UPS
-Jourdan Lewis. The kid plays with instinct. I pray he can stay healthy.

- Tank, obviously. What an animal.

-I also liked what I saw from Switzer. He's starting to get a feel in the return game

They made the decision to play him at safety his rookie year and he has been doing it for 3 years now. I saw two pass breakups. The one by the goal line at the end was the best.

Well, we'd be 1-2 so I think we'd care.

Anyone know what's up with the Heath injury?

He was back in the game later on, so I assume he got the wind knocked out of him?

They had him starting at both positions his rookie year.

7 games at safety, 4 games at corner. Due to injuries at the cornerback spot.

they asked a lot of him his rookie year.

His play is mediocre. Its not that me makes NO plays, its that he gets paid 10 million per year to be mediocre and injury prone.

Im not sold on Chaz Green just yet. The boys have had more success running to the right than to the left. Which was not the case last year.
I mentioned in another thread, pump the breaks on Butler. He needs to catch the easy PERFECTLY THROWN balls.
Jaylon is around the ball and making tackles. Given the injury he is still dealing with, shouldnt we be high on him?
T Will is far from garbage. He gets separation and catches passes with more consistency than Dez so far this year. He would be missed if cut.
I agree with your opinion on Crawford. He is being payed way too much IMO. I would say trade him, but does anyone want him?
Jones did good yesterday in man coverage against the TE and Fitz. I think, with his own deficiencies, he does not pair well with Heath. Heath is not a starter IMO.

I really wanted to Add Switzer, but in all fairness he hasnt done much. Its more potential for me as he is another kid I really like. They just dont get him involved enough.

T Will has played pretty well. I actually believe he is less of a body catcher now. I also think he plays hurt. He certainly wasn't 100 percent last night but still made some catches. I also think he runs decent routes. Crawford is overpaid IMO and Heath is a special teamer for the most part.
