Dak and Beasley don't have the same chemistry as last season

I am really surprised Beasely has not been targeted more so far this season since he and Dak seemed to have so much chemistry last season. I have not had time to sit down and rewatch the games closely like I used to do back in the day due to work and life so I have not seen if Beasely is just being covered really well. Curious if others have taken the time to look at the film and can comment on the subject.

It should ramp up, but I think part of this sense is just that we don't have the crazy long drives going like last year because the running game hasn't been as effective, so I think there are just fewer balls to go around.

Every receiver Dallas has carries his own mojo. Dak throws to whomever he sees who is open. It most likely won't get any better for Bease once Switzer comes into the picture. I'm just glad we have so many who can help us. Maybe the staff has concerns about how many hits a little guy like Beasley can take? Anyhow, it's hard to say what moves them to do what they do. I think it's also possible that they prefer to see Dak spread the ball around to keep everyone involved and the defenses guessing.

Dak has been very uncomfortable in the pocket this season for some reason.

Connecting with Beazley relies on timing and throwing from the pocket. Dak has been better in space so far. When he does that, he tends to throw down field, like we saw last night.

Beazley's wheelhouse is 5-10 yards past the LOS.

Maybe teams are scheming to take away last year's leading receiver?
That was my point. I do not know. I have not had time to break down any film so I was seeing if anyone had taken the time to study the film to see what is happening.

I rather us muddle along at the start then click midseason catching fire at the end going into the playoffs...

Fast starts will lead to a fast burn out

What i have seen is Dallas has played 3 games with really good CBs that have shut down Dez in single coverage. Allowing their defenses to focus on other parts of the offense. Dez really needs to step it up. Butler came up huge vs AZ. He was hurt vs Den and really played no part. Butler IMO is the deep threat this team needs

In our first three games, we've played the three best defenses in the NFL (by last year's metrics, anyway). Things will look different in a few weeks (although we don't face any real pushovers this season, except probably SF).

Two things. First off, have you seen how much time Dak has to throw the ball? Secondly, they are taking away Beasley, so...

Teams are putting an emphasis on Beasley.

He has had to face DRC, Chris Harris Jr, and then Mathieu. Those are probably 3 of the top 5-6 slot cover guys in the league (Harris not exclusively a slot guy but that's how much they focused on Beas).

The chemistry will return once the Cowboys show teams that they will go after them with long range passing. When you don't push the ball down the field you invite a "creeping" defense to slowly suffocate your offense. Beasley will return when the underneath loosens up from a healthy respect for the long ball.
