Though 4 games Ezekiel Elliott averaging 3.6 yards per carry and is on pace 1108 yards rushing for the season.

I'll be honest, to my untrained eye he doesn't look any bigger despite repeated threads here on CZ that he has gotten fat.

What do you attribute his mediocre performance to this season? The court case? Lack of conditioning? Lack of cohesive offensive line play?

He's not getting mile wide holes to run thru

Thought he was overrated as blank last season. As I said then: he gets what's there. I never saw it from him.

I agree about his weight. Dak haters will say 9 in the box.

I have been noticing more of the the opponents defense playing on out side of the LOS than last year by far. Penetration blows up plays every time.

1. Teams have studied us and know the tendencies - we haven't adjusted. It doesn't help matters that we're already a predictable rushing offense.

2. Whatever the reason, Zeke is lacking the acceleration I saw last season.

3. Leary was a major loss.

you dont think he accelerated on the two touchdowns today?

he made the edge both times and scored.

He ate up against 2 defenses which are horrible against the run, and he struggled against two strong defenses. Rams were slaughtered by the 49ers, Morris strolled downfield today for a 70 yard run, the Giants have been getting slaughtered by the run and etc.

He looks like he's missing the holes the blockers are making but that's subjective. The O-line isn't as strong either. Either way, in crunch games against strong teams, the run might go missing this year.

I thought there were a few wide open holes today and they just continuously tried to throw the ball. Seems they are content on trying to force things to Dez.

The offensive play from last year simply wasn’t sustainable. I suspect he will raise that before the year is out. Keep in mind Emmitt Smith, arguably the best to ever do it, only had one season higher than Zeke’s YPC last year, and averaged less than 4 yards a carry over the final 9 years of his career.

They made it look so easy they thought that was standard....it wasn't. No team is going to look that good in the running game.

Romo couldn't do it either.....which may be bigger than Dak. Teams use to tee off on Romo and there was nothing we can do about it.

You mean when JG was coordinator, Hudson Houck was OL coach, our OL was garbage and our main offense was no-huddle.. and teams were playing deep Cover 2 and hardly 8 or 9 in the box regularly..

Romo did it just fine in 2014..

Just stop comparing the two..
