Can't wait to see the post-signing justifications on this board when we don't even attempt to sign him.

/sarcasm on

Hey man you know we just should see how Justin March-Lillard can do! He's never had a chance to shine

Progress stopper for whom? Smith? He has the job all to himself right now and I would not say he is progressing. Without Lee in there, he is a liability.
I totally agree, Alex. I got sucked into the Risen vortex the other day when i took the bait on one of his outrageous and goofy comments and I totally fell for it. Lol. Ever since, I make ridiculous comments in his threads in hopes of a little payback. So far he hasn’t bitten. He’s probably onto me by now so I am blowing my cover to clarify for u. ;)

Who said anything about inside information?

No I haven’t seen him play, and that’s kind of the point. We have people posting here all pissed off because the Cowboys wouldn’t trade for a guy nobody here even knows is any better than the players we already have. Bowman was an all pro, yes, but nobody on this board knows if he’s anything close to the player he used to be. People that know heck of a lot more about the guy than anybody here declined to trade for him and his own team let him go for nothing. Nobody cuts all pro players, if they are still all pros. I just think it’s funny how teams like to tell the world all about the trades they could’ve made of players they just cut.

We don't need an all pro. I've seen our guys, and jag is generous.

The 49ers have him on a bad contract and wanted out. He's not what he was of course. We don't need what he was.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I see. Apparently you are asking for a forearm with a Wentz tattoo on it across your face. Good luck.

You have already seen some. They can be cut and pasted.

Progress stopper.

Too expensive.

They both are idiots. I hope he goes to Philly or Wash and tortures us for 2 years. Just give the guy a contract and see what he has, show the fans you know the defense is bad at least. If he is hurt, and bad oh well what have we lost?? A couple of million? We already have done that with Paea and Carroll!!!
I don't get it...you wasted money on unproven talent to see what they had....why you wouldn't see what Bowman has is beyond me. You have a shot at potentially saving your season and you are about to wiff....if I'm a player I question what this team is trying to do.

But you're just speculating...you have no idea what he has left. You have no idea if he just like most of the players from the Harbaugh era are just sick of playing for that organization and just need a change of scenery.

If you sign him what's the worst that can happen? You waste Jerry's money? I'm taking the risk.

Right...and playing next to Sean Lee might make things easier for him. I never undervalue the effect of playing for a organization you are at odds with. That will effect your play. I'm sure he's slowed down but at this point we could use what is in his head and his instincts.

It’s only a bad contract since he got hurt. I bet the Niners would be just fine with it if he were still the player they were paying him to be.

I never had a problem with the Cowboys checking Bowman out. I just didn’t want them giving up draft picks.

Hasn't had he been cut? No picks should be involved or taking on his salary.

Witten, God love him, has been a progress stopper for how many TE's now and high draft picks?

Right. It needs to be said....I like the guy and I have no problem with a reduced role but our offense would be so much more effective with more athleticism and speed at that tight end position.
