Can we stop panicking now?

Panick isn't the right word. It's more like concern. Yes I'm still concerned about our team. The pass offense still seems shaky to me as well as the pass blocking. The run defense was better but Hyde still hashed us a bit. They were playing from behind so they abandoned the run late and resorted to more passing.

I'd like to see how we fare against the Commanders and eagles
Yep. Don't be fooled by the 49ers. Tough road ahead.

KC is fading and Atlanta isnt a powerhouse. Washington and Philly are division games

While all true we haven’t seen consistency out of this team yet. We thought after the AZ game they could finally be putting it together. But they didn’t. Now we still have to worry about Zeke after the skins game. Who knows, like I said earlier the more I watch the NFL the less I can figure it out week to week. KC’s offense is good, so are the Skins and the Eagles and with this suspect defense I could see them giving up a lot of points and big plays.

I don't know if panic is the right word...at least for me.

I didn't expect them to win the Super Bowl. Young DB's, holes at RDE, 1-tech, MIKE (even with Hitchens) and Heath (which came true).

But, I wanted them to go to the playoffs. The best way to be a Super Bowl contender is to repeatedly make the playoffs and then one of those seasons you're likely to make it to the Super Bowl. And prior to this year we have yet to see if our coaching staff can make the playoffs 2 years in a row. And I would like the team to make the playoffs this year to give them more experience.

I'm still plenty concerned and disappointed in this team. The O-Line problems seem to be going away as La'el has looked really good the past two games. EE is starting to look like his old self and Dak is starting to get back his old accuracy. But, I still do not like our pass offense as T-Will is basically useless in the passing game and we tip off our passing plays so much that we can't go deep. And I hate to agree with some fans, but I think Dez is no longer elite. I think he's very good and a nice player to have in this offense.

Meanwhile, the defense still has major holes. The corners aren't all that bad, but you have to wonder how long O-Scan will last. Heath and Frazier are awful at SS and Crawford is still a problem (he might be getting it back as he looked better today and maybe his ankle is healing). So, there are a lot of things not to like for the team this year and we are further away than I originally thought for next year as we'll need a WR, a DT, probably a RDE and a SS at the very least. And I have no confidence in this defense with the Marinelli scheme.

To be fair we haven't played a complete game yet. Against Arizona we were terrible in the first half, second half is when we turned it on. It's possible during the bye they worked some things out. Today we played all 4 quarters and that's the first time this year. Eagles are smoke and mirrors. Their best win came against the Panthers who were destroyed by the Bears. Commanders best win was against the Raiders without Carr.

We beat a 0 win team. This is the kind of game we were supposed to win. I'll give the coaching staff props in that we actually blew out a team we should blow out. What is encouraging to me is that these guys came out sharp out of the gate and never let their foots off the gas. We started sharp and finished sharp. If we can string together a series of games like this, I'll give Garrett a lot of props. We don't necessarily have to blow out teams, but I want 4 quarters of well played football like tonight.

No way this is 500 team. This team is dangerous.
No way? They currently are. They best bad teams and lose to good ones. They won't survive upcoming schedule.

Sorry, 8-8. Maybe 7-9 if some bad breaks.

Why? Because we beat a 0-5 now 0-6 team?
Not a lot of people were very confident coming into today.

Having said that...pounding a winless team is exactly what this team should be expected to do. And why exactly are we taking that for granted...weren't we favored against the Rams and the Cardinals as well? *hint yes we were*

Good post,
I agree and the key will be the next three games .
the 49ers play sloppy today , made a lot of mistakes they helped us win the game but we did get pressure on the quarterback and some turnovers so all that is good ,but San Francisco was at a low point today they just didn't play well at all. Washington should be more of the challenge so we'll see how we do there

The CZ formula:

After a close loss: Don't talk about any positivity in the game. We were never in that game.....we've got some serious panickin' to do

After a loss: We're not good enough. We're luck to have won such and such games ...we've got some major panickin' to do

After a tough loss: We've got epic levels of panickin' to do....but ultimately, it's time to blow it all up and rebuild.

After a close win: There's nothing to celebrate. We should have lost.....we've got some panickin' to do

After a Good win: Celebrate for 2 hours and then shut up about it.....we've got some panickin' to do

After a Great win: Celebrate for 4 hours and then shut up about it....we've got some panickin' to do.

After Super Bowl win: Celebrate for 24 hours and then shut up about it....we're going to go another 20+ years without another SB win....and we've got some panickin' to do
