Basically, Zeke's reputation and livelihood are less important than the NFL potentially being criticized.
What Godell has lost site of is that what people want is a sense of fairness and justice. Suspending guys who didn't commit domestic violence is just as bad as allowing guys who commit it to play. The league takes a big PR hit in both cases.
Stay strong. There have been millions of nitwits who weren’t given the right to due process in this countries exsistense. Still happens today in in our American justice system. Not giving up on America. Not predicting it’s demise.

The whole point of the appeal, and what three judges agreed with before, was that this CBA doesn't give the nfl the power to take simple freedoms from people, like the ability to get a fair arbitration. The nfl can suspend anyone for any reason and not have to have a legit reason why....not only that, give a person a label such as "women beater" without any proof. She is actually right on here. When you suck at bargaining like the NFLPA does, and you give your employer ultimate power, you get what you deserve. Brady and Zeke know this very well.

Just like most NFL regular season games this year outside the Cowboys. MLB/NBA/NHL don't make their money just of TV deals like the NFL. The NFL needs lemmings to follow their league on TV that's why they have to do exclusive deals with DirectTV to try to maximize their revenue.
Preseason NFL games get better ratings than most NBA and MLB playoff games. Not replying specifically to erod here...just quoting his post in order to speak to this specific sub-topic
That being said, you can't objectively compare television ratings of football to other major sports. They play 16 regular season games in the NFL, so viewership is concentrated. They play 162 games in MLB (82 in the NBA, and 80 - I think - in the NHL), and viewership is diluted due to the sheer number of games. Just as individual games in those sports are less likely to sell out, it naturally leads to the conclusion that baseball, basketball, and hockey won't have the same level of viewership (again, due to sheer number of games). Advertisers are also well-aware of this, and you can bet they all employ analysts and advisers to help them make informed decisions.
The NFL is unique in that there are far fewer opportunities to view. Any advertiser who makes a decision on an apple-to-apples comparison is going to lose money.

Only true if people think the player really was completely innocent. I don't think there is a long line of people feeling that way about Zeke outside of Cowboys fans. Were there some? Probably. But not enough for a PR hit.
This isn't a guilt or innocent issue. This is a CBA issue folks really need to separate the two. The NFLPA granted the commissioner absolute power to rule on these types of cases so therefore you have the current problem.
As a registered Republican .. and I may get banned from this site for saying this.. can anyone really blame the players for kneeling during the anthem after this? Her comments of "I'm a white female and you're a black male who will they believe?" being provided and this injustice that nobody in our judicial system seems to care that he's being labeled a woman abuser when the only person to interview all parties (Kia Roberts) said the witness lacked credibility and didn't provide a consistent story yet this is the outcome? I'm at a loss.. I knew the NFL investigators were a sham.. but now our trusted appointed officials are acting the same it is really eye opening.
