I don't think they should trade for a RB. They should continue to fight the Zeke suspension and roll with the backups they have. I don't see us getting much better than Morris and McFadden without getting fleeced. You don't make desperate midseason trades without winding up on the short end of the stick. They knew Zeke was facing suspension going into the year. They didn't know they'd end up losing both their 1-tech DTs.

McFadden isn't a good backup because he has to have a certain number of carries per game. But he has the same type of skills (obviously lesser) in that he can run, catch and block. You don't have to change your offense that much, you just get fewer yards.

You can also give Rod Smith ten carries a game and let him pound the opposing defense. He is completely rested at this point and could do some damage behind our OL.

Also Dak Prescott always steps up his game when its needed. Its needed now, and he will answer the call.

There are ways to structure contracts. If Dallas wanted to be more aggressive and sign a guy like pierre paul they could do it. They have just basically decided to go a different route. The big contracts will be to home grown players.

My comment was on how Money is always the talking point here....we dont have the money or its too much.

at the same time the fans here pay the highest ticket prices, parking prices and bond prices. Our tickets went up this offseason also for this year.

The cowboys are just presenting this narrative. We had the same tight cap issues a decade ago and went out and signed guys like ferguson or traded for williams or owens etc.

they have basically just changed philosophies and in the media everyone will say Dallas doesnt have the money. They have the money, there are always options to creating room and being creative with contracts if you want a player bad enough.

That would make perfect sense.

Despite having a defense that is mediocre to bad at just about everything but rushing the passer, we will blow a mid to late round pick on an average TB that likely won't be any better than Smith, McFadden or Morris.

Play him more. He's a rookie. He's going to make mistakes. Let him learn and find out if he can play. Heath is a veteran who clearly doesn't have the skill set to be a full time safety in this league. You already know he can't be a legit starter in this league.

You know what you have with Heath. Blahness. Find out what Woods has and see if you need to use this offseason to have to find yet another safety.

I am not impressed with Garrett, but there are not a lot of coaches worth trading for either.

There are about as many good coaches in this league as there are great QBs.
