He really doesn’t like the secondary. Saying how much the front 7 has improved made me wonder how much he hated it when he played.

His comments on Dallas players and coaches were clinical ........listing to a guy with direct knowledge of this team breath, eat, sleep. Enjoyed him personally but I can see how some may have issues with his voice......but that's correctable.

I actually think he dumbed down the analysis just a bit. I bet he could have said a lot about the Cowboys' scheme and all, but he stayed mum. Still looking out for the home team.

I agree, I think he laid low on the Cowboys pre snap. Much different than he has done other games.

Agree.
Solid job.
There was some silent air time that was almost awkward at times.
He was being careful not so read the plays too much before the snap like he does a bit more often in other games.

I'd give him a B.

A rookie analyst getting a "B" is fine.

He's good at this job, but has to learn as far working with his partner, etc.
He's WAY ahead of the curve so far.

Might have been an A but he lost count of timeouts lol
Very solid job and over time he will get even better

A+ so refreshing compared to Troy and what's the other guy's name/who cares.

Romo's pretty good. He doesn't have a natural broadcasting voice. He sounds like a guy used to talking football with his buddies than a guy who was trained to work in the field. This is not a bad thing. He's not a polished commentator and that's okay. What he lacks is some of the more technical things related to journalism, he makes up for in his knowledge of the game, his enthusiasm, and overall relatability to the common fan.

That's similar to John Madden, who changed the way football is broadcast. I have a feeling that Romo could do the same. Too many commentators lately just sound like hype men with over-the-top praise or criticism. Romo provides insight that actual football fans want to hear. And actually, Terry Bradshaw was doing that in his brief time as a color commentator before they turned him into a studio clown. Hopefully Romo never gets moved to the studio.

B for me. Good job, but nothing spectacular. He was trying very hard to be unbiased...but he's obviously a bit biased and I'm glad.
I knew it would be difficult to be unbiased.

What makes him fun to listen to is his ability to put his experiences/knowledge into words. Well, all those experiences were with Dallas, so of course he's going to have a lot more insight on their plays/players/coaches/etc.

I still think his best attribute is that he sounds like one of us (ONE OF US) sitting on the couch screaming "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! THAT NEVER WORKS!" haha
