I'm sure this question is in a few threads.I never thought Dez was elite but i always thought Dez was a good #1 WR to have out there. I'm starting to lose any faith i have in Dez.

Maybe i'm late to the party.

Is Dez a very good or good or average WR?

I would say that Dez is a very good WR. But great? Not for me. For me he is somewhat of a waste of talent. He could be so much better.

I agree that he could be better and that he's wasting some of his talent.

We got some great insight the whole game from Tony in the booth. At times I thought maybe a little too much information about the Cowboys but it's probably nothing other teams don't know. One thing he said is Dez and Dak still have to get used to each other. On one touchdown attempt to Dez Tony said that Dez likes the ball right above the defenders helmet and he and Dez just need to get on the same page.

Really good.

It's our coaching that fails him

Dak's the man but he won't ever put up the kind of numbers with Dak like he did with Tony because Tony was a next level passer but our coaches do Dez no favors.

Anyone hear Romo say Garrett didn't really believe in schematics? haha.

very good and he's on a team with a lot of weapons. He could be great if he had to be the main weapon and target for this team. I don't see Dez barking for passes like he has in the past, which is good. It's unfortunate many base his value solely on individual stats and measure against his contract. There are many facets to his game and his value to the team that don't translate though stats

Very good on high and contested throws. Below average on low throws.

He is paid like a elite receiver. But I don't believe he plays like one. Too many drops.

Really good
Needs to be used more on crossing routes to get the ball in his hands and let him use his physical ability

Dez was elite with Tony. Those two were locked in from 12-14. Especially in the redzone.

Dez is good with Dak.

Both can improve their chemistry with one another.

This.

Dez needs to continue to improve his routes. Physically he is a beast. I like the adjustments the Cowboys have made. Moving him around has helped.

I think Dez's poor routes are more perception than reality.

You regularly see video of him juking guys on routes and the ball doesn't come his way.

Put him with Rogers or Brady and he is elite. But with this team he is very good and I'm happy he is on our team.

He's very good if you have him run in the middle of the field. Very average on "Go Routes" he doesn't have elite speed to create separation.

Or its thrown to the imaginary 10 foot receiver we do not speak of.

For some reason he gets slower. In his rookie year he did return punt and kick off to TD? He couldn't outrun anyone now.
