Does anyone know when this current CBA will expire? I'm sick of Goodell and what he can do. I want some changes made. I'm actually hoping for a strike by the players to get this guy out. Football in the Goodell era has not been as fun to watch.
98% of the players never deal with Goodell. They don't care.

I would....... it can't hurt....... no way she rules for Zeke if she wouldn't even give the injunction

Plus it could help the appeal if she refuses

Any idea why the NFLPA went straight for a Preliminary Injunction instead of a TRO like in Texas?

I know some terms are different in US law as compared to Canadian law, but it seems to me that both are basically the same, kind of a "rose by any other name" kind of thing,,,

Well, I looked it up and it seems that in a TRO, the person(s) requesting it get's to present their arguments and the Judge rules on that basis (yet can ask questions to the opposite side) as what happened in Texas District Court. In a Preliminary Injuntion, both sides present oral arguments and the Judge rules on the arguments of both parties. In the case of NY District, she ruled that the "greater good" argument of the NFL outweighed the harm that may be caused to a single player (NFLPA argument).

They might not have cared a few years ago but with all that is going on Goodell is 100% the enemy. His approval rating has to be at an all-time low and if the union held a vote it would be no confidence.

Probably the first time anyone has ever referred to the NFL as the "greater" good

Agreed! But, that was their argument. That their own internal policing of players and outreach to the public regarding DV was greater than a single player's ability to earn a game check and performance bonuses, which she (Failia) concluded was based on the Cowboys offense in general and his ability to stay healthy.

So, what percentage do yas give this one in our favor? 20, 50, 75%?

Who knows, it might just depend on what breeze floats up the 3-panel judges rear end that morning! Acording to my favorite eye candy Amy Dash it's 50/50. She is normally on target but missed on Failia's decision at the NY District (as did many others).

I agree, 98% of the players don't deal with him. But if I was I'm in that 98% and I saw what was going on I'd be concerned. At any given time a player can be disciplined without the disciplinarian being held accountable to anyone. That'd be a concern.

And lets not forget that Goodell demanded (under threat of suspension) that some very influentual current and past players were asked, by Goodell, to fly to NY to explain an unbstantiaded report by Al-Jazeera tv regarding PED's. Later to be proven a false.

The average player plays less than 5 years. They don't have time for that. They need to get paid while they can.

I'm seeing on Daniel Wallach's Twitter that Andrew Tulumello is possibly subbing for Jeffrey Kessler tomorrow.
