Let me start by saying that I really think it unlikely that he loses today. These kinds of preliminary injunctions have habitually been granted in comparable circumstances (including Brady II and the PI that Zeke himself obtained when this was still being pursued in Texas). Failla went off the reserve in refusing to grant the PI in my professional opinion.

But if he were to lose, he'd serve the suspension. If he wins the appeal and gets the arbitration ruling vacated (a tougher hill to climb than getting the PI in the first place) before the suspension runs its course, say after 4 weeks as you suggest, he won't have to serve the remaining games. But there's nothing to be done about the games he'll have already served, other than sue the league for damages (including lost salary) as dogberry suggests in the post directly below yours.

I do not believe this one bit at all. Before the suspension was handed down they had giving the committee the green light for his extension. So it would only make sense to hire an attorney to help block it. Also, I'd guess that he has the agreement with the majority of the owners who are not part of the committee tasked with giving Goodell his extension. In JJ's eyes if he really felt betrayed how does he move forward in support of someone like Goodell? You can't.

Thanks. It's my own concern for him flaring up. I want him to have him rested and available for that Eagles game. Between the back and the leg, it's got me spooked.

It's been reported that he needs season-ending groin surgery anyway.

I expect a grievance to be filed against the Colts for cutting him while he's injured.

And I doubt anybody would touch the balance of his $9 million salary for this year anyway.
