Is Rod Smith the answer at runningback?

Yup...we pretty much over-rated the whole situation @ RB. Morris was running on fumes by the 2nd quarter last Sunday. If we are not gonna use Mcfadden...then why keep him around? He clearly is he better back. Rod Smith flashed in the pre-season...and has since...become just a JAG. We lack speed @ the position..that is for sure. Seems like there are massive cutback lanes all the time...or bounce that stuff to the outside for massive gains..but our RBs are too slow to exploit this.

Why not put the back out there who can play all three downs. Yes that is DMAC, let Morris maintain his change of pass stature, and Smith his jack of all trades.

Hope we get to see more of it this week. Keep the Pigeon offense off the field. Run them and stay with the game plan.

No, I have been telling people this since preseason. He is valuable to the team though as a 3rd down back and a relief pitcher, to use baseball terminology. This is the what I call the Troy Hambrick syndrome. He looks like the real deal when the , when the real deal is on the sideline or not playing at all. But once he gets his shot you see he is not.

I know they ran the ball bad early, but it picked up pretty nicely in the second half with a change in personnel. They just got behind and had to abandon it. Smith didn't look bad in his limited time either (he only had 3 carries). Morris looked better coming out the half. There is something there, they just have to commit to it, and play off it (more play action would have been nice). JMO
