Your dream hires

LoL,,, an Olympic gold medal winning wrestling coach ( ' 68' beat the Russian & said he was scared s**tless the entire match) once told me "if yer' opponent wants yer' leg and shoots for it ,,,give it to him " extra" fast like a knee strike to the solar plexus or under the jaw",,, and this was collegiate wrestling:lmao:

On a side note, there is a guy named Carlton Haselrig that played OL for the Steelers in the early nineties that was an all time bad-arse wrestler. He beat a couple of guys in high school / college that later went to the olympics.

He was crazier than Charles Haley.

In his forties he took up MMA and one opponent ran out of the ring after the first round and didn't return.

My buddy went to college with him and my buddy was a bouncer at a local bar there. Haselrig beat the S out of him and 5 other bouncers.

At one point when he was with the Steelers, he just dissappeared one day. A few weeks later the coach found him working at a loading dock for minimum wage. The coach asked him to come back and he did return for about 1 more season before dissappearing again.

If there was ever a guy that I thought had a chance to win a fight with Larry Allen, it was him.

There was a short bus kid 3-4 miles away from me as a kid growing up,he was a couple years older( cuz' he was flunking grades) we'd ride dirt bikes together and swap guns sometimes, anyway me an ' Floyd' were weeding this soybean field on summer school break, and he had this ol' timey garden hoe( that consisted of excellent iron that took a razor edge when filed& had the eyelet socket where the handle attached) and we're wet above the knees from the morning dew,weeding these soybeans and he's going on about how he's got this superior implement and how he could probably hack my head clean off with a single swing and there'd be nothing I could do about it, well no sooner than he said that he whacked at a horseweed and
" WHHAAAAaa" he damn ner' cut his big toe off,,,:lmao2:

I had to fireman's carry that big bleeding crybaby( I think I was prolly around 14 back then) damn ner' the length of a 40acre patch of beans to where our lunch buckets were, tie up his foot with a bandana(it looked like a huge straight razor worked on that shoe of his) and then run to a house a mile away to call for help, then I had to weed the rest of that field by myselfo_O

My case in point is: ,,,reckon I don't have one:rolleyes:
 
I really want Rey from Star Wars. She has the same head coaching credentials as Garret did when he was hired and she has the force by her side.

And she's easy on the eyes. I mean if I'm going to watch Cowboys games there's got to be something to look forward to.
 
Since so many want fresh new coaches, how about an ex QB that could read defenses with ease. He could do wonders with our QB and our offensive play calling. I say the OC should be Peyton Manning.

Sticking to new coaches how about a new defensive guru as well. One that could read an offense and change the defense call on the fly as one of the greatest LBs of the game. We already have the rep for hiring convicts, so why not make our DC Ray Lewis?

Both of these guys are known to put their foot down and expect the best of their team and hold players accountable. They can easily be play callers and understand what is going on and adjust accordingly.They are not only X's and O's guys, they did it it on the cuff play after play themselves.

While we know Jimmy would be a pipe dream, how hard would it be to find a coach that has the same fire and discipline? Would it be easier since the coordinators could drive the bus on their own? This is why I think Mike Singletary could do the job as HC and help the DC make our defense great again.

Lastly since we all miss Callahan as our OL coach, how about Mike Munchak? We could give him a title of Asst. HC since he was a HC before and take one of the best OL coaches in the NFL from the Steelers. This will help keep our offense balanced and make life easier for both Dak and Zeke.

I'd take Sean Lee over Ray Lewis right now. Lee is the perfect combo of passion and cerebral.

I too think Lee will become a great defensive coach one day. He is a true student of the game. We have all seen how much different (better) our defense is with him in the game. I just can't stop thinking of the many games where the Colts had Manning calling his plays just to see Lewis change the defense, causing Manning to call another audible and vice versa. A true chess match those two played for many of games. That's the kind of training I want our guys to have. To be able to read and adjust on both sides of the ball.

Now Lee might also be that guy, but I have never seen two captains do what Manning and Lewis did when they played each other. Just saying.

I still don’t know if Garrett deserves to be around after this year. But I don’t think he should be fired yet. Let’s wait and see what happens the rest of the year.
