I live close to Burbank airport, so we get a lot of black soot as well.

if you do not have a HEPA air filter, get one and put it in your bedroom.
also 1 for where you staying in the day most often.

HEPA filters were invented for the Manhattan project and they work so well it was used to remove radioactive particles from the scientists, if you did not know
