Let's not forget the sophomore slump that may happen next year. We were all bowing down at the alter of Anthony Brown last year.

The Brown situation is odd.

They changed how the defense plays coverage from last year with more focus on zone. They had Brown play outside leverage which requires help on in-breaking routes but Jaylon and other failed to provide that help.

Three games ago they benched Brown but they also changed some things on defense. They don't have Awuzie playing that same style and therefore not getting burned by the inside help being late.

Brown plays 1 series in each half for Lewis and 1 for Awuzie and has looked good. He also plays in the Dime with Scandrick out.

They wouldn't give Brown those snaps in place of the others if they thought he sucked.

I really like the CB depth:
Lewis
Awuzie
Woods -Playing slot CB.
Brown
Scandrick - Cheap next year if they want to keep him.
Jones - Could play CB.
Benwikere - More experience than most 6th CB options.

Just remember.. We’ll have Duke Thomas back next year from IR. There was talks he was going to make the team out of preseason before he hurt his knee. And I’m still holding out hope that Marquez White will make the jump from practice squad to active roster in year two. White was a beast in his only full season at FSU playing along side Jalen Ramsey. He started 13 games as a senior, allowing just 22 receptions and one touchdown, while posting 25 tackles (2 for loss), 2 interceptions and 6 passes defensed.
