Whether the Cowboys make the playoffs or not, owner Jerry Jones likes their future. Jones, of course, is an eternal optimist, but his reasons are valid. Dak Prescott is 24. Ezekiel Elliott is 22. T...

jerry sees lots of thing right now he is worried about his grandson winning a state footballs championship in texas the cowboys haven't won any thing in over twenty years and have made him rich beyond his biggest dreams this team is no closer to competing for a championship now than they have ever been

I think we are getting closer. Less holes and more depth. Still issues to address.

IF they win a championship with garrett, it will be despite him, not because of him....he is holding this team back we get blown out in 4 games, and in 3 of them, we get out coached immensely in the 2nd half of the games when the other teams adjusts and garrett claps...it is embarrassing

It would have helped if his QB wasn't completely inept in those games.

My problem with the way we're trying to build the team (slowly) is that you are always "getting closer" but not getting there. We've seen players who were building blocks to getting us there, such as Romo and Ware, come and go while we've been trying to squeeze through the window.

It's just frustrating Jerry's c-nile I don't even listen to his babble anymore after 20 something years.
But it's not even debatable due to bad coaching we will miss the playoffs this year.
And it may be debatable but I think it's likely if we hadn't of taken 2 weeks off last year we could have had a better result.

This is one of those situations where addition by subtraction is the best way to go starting from position coaches all the way up

..kinda scary, I dont know what to clue on anymore. >>>>Players, coaches, organization, bad luck...??? ..etc. I"m just content with having some excitement again, and going with flow wherever it might go.

You live longer that way- minus the exorbitant alcohol consumption and love of illicit drugs...
Wait, we were talking about you... my bad.
You'll just live longer.

Jerry has been saying this for years. But he's finally right.

As long as the Cowboys' offensive line stays elite (I worry about Tyron Smith's back issues), this window will be wide open for a while. Dak and Zeke are here for the long run, and as long as we get some more talent at receiver, this offense is loaded.

On defense, I am very, very excited about our kid secondary (Awuzie, Lewis, Woods, Frazier). Lock up DeMarcus Lawrence, find another edge rusher, and keep Sean Lee healthy, and this team is a contender for quite a while.
