I heard a few minutes of Jerry being interviewed this morning.

He said issues like Scandrick's status for next season are not reviewed until after the season.
I wonder why Demarcus Ware heard things recently about Dez then. Who do the fans believe more Jerry or Ware?

As they do most offseasons. Though this time I expect money to be thrown at not just Martin but some general reinforcements. I'd still caution anyone thinking we're going to jump into the tip top end of the market.

But hey let's see who becomes available.
It does not have to be top players but it needs to be a higher level than last season

Example:
Paea 1-year, 2M should have been Poe or Logan 1-year, 8M.

Durant minimal should have been Zack Brown 1-year, 2.5M.

He was somewhere in the middle. He acknowledged the drops and did not praise his performance this year, but he did praise his improved mental makeup.

Jerry probably sees Dez returning but Stephen/Garrett/McClay will likely present the details (cap info, alternatives, Dez issues) to Jerry after the season. I don't think Jerry keeps any cap info in his memory.

I had hoped Jerry would express more concern about the meltdown that Dez had but he just focused on claiming Dez is in a good place mentally now.

Stephen hates wasting money so he might push to move on.

Here's my point........Jerry's not stupid. He's been dealing with the media for 25+ years. He knows what he was saying. Remember when we moved on from DeMarco Murray and DeMarcus Ware. By the time offseason or free agency started, Jerry and\or Stephen had dropped enough hints that we all knew their days were numbers w/o huge pay cut. The fact Jerry is showing public support for Dez, tells me he trying to calm the onslaughter against Dez. Just the way he's done for Garrett the past couple weeks by letting the public know there will be no head coaching change. Simply put, IMO it's his build-up to bring Dez back.

I think the best Dez's critic can expect is them bringing in his possible future replacement via high draft pick

Hindsight is clear.

And just because the money is similiar humans still have a choice where they go. A lot of variables.

These are examples.

When they signed Paea they were looking at players in that price range. They should have looked in a higher price range. There were better options at 8M than at 2M. Even 8M for a 1-year deal is not a big committment.

A veteran DL that will sign for 2M is probably not somebody to count on being a starter.

I wonder what Kraft and Rooney said on their radio shows?

Oh wait, they hire people to make roster decisions. What a crazy idea.

Jerry does this by committee .There was a period of time during which large businesses went to the other extreme, being primarily run by one autocratic manager. Today, organizations usually manage themselves by some form of committee. Corporations manage through a board of directors and usually also an operational management team; large legal departments may have a senior legal management team. Many law firms have a management committee, executive committee or board of directors.

Oh just spend more money. Why don't more teams think of that?

He'd better be looking at a productive #1-2 WR, swing tackle, receiving TE, edge rusher, cover LB, and DB esp S in FA. If he doesn't get a couple of FAs out of that mix then I will be disappointed.
