I've said in a couple threads, this unit could lose 1 or 2 starters just like they purged secondary last year. Beasley and TWill appear the most vulnerable. If I had to choose one, it would be TWill.

Each offseason tough decisions have to be made by teams around the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys are no exception. Teams have to decide who to promote, who to demote, and who to cut ties with altogether. For the Cowboys, Terrance Williamsfits into one of those three categories, but which one?

TWill??? How about Dez? I think TWill is a fine 2/3. The issue is the #1 guy not being a #1 guy since 2014, yet is paid like a #1 guy. There have been a million excuses for Dez not producing. Bottom line is he relied on his physical abilities his whole life and now they are starting to slip. His cognitive abilities won't allow him to be an effective receiver into his 30s. That is the player they need to do something with. I firmly believe WR needs to be addressed in Rounds 1 or 2 and FA.

We need new schemes. Garrett needs to show some humility or some guts and revamp the offense. Not do away with the entire playbook, but throw in some new pass plays and routes. They also need to go away from the run/pass option. Dak was getting lit up towards the end of the season.

TWill is a good blocker and can make the occasional play. I would prefer to see him demoted though for a more reliable receiver.

TWill's value to the team is his blocking in the run game. He's one of the best blocking WRs I've seen. Yes, he's a body catcher but he will also make nice catches now and then. So before we decide to send him packing, who's gonna block downfield on running plays in his place?

New schemes won't work with the type of WR we have. Dez is slowing down and can't separate so teams are now doubling
Beasley. Dak cannot throw receivers open at all so we need shorter, quicker, faster WR who can create separation at the jump.
We need new types of WR if we want to run picks, rubs, and slants.

Williams isn't going anywhere next season. I have said this before in others threads but it's worth repeating here too. When all the recievers on your team have a down year at the same time, the problem can't only be with the recievers

It’s a valid point but each receiver surely has their flaws and played inconsistent.

Dak and Linehan are as much to blame but to say the receivers are innocent is naive.

We need to surround Dak with an offense similar to Brady.

Brady usually doesn’t mesh well with bigger, possession receivers either but he has a coach/GM smart enough to put players around him to maximize his abilities.

Imagine if Dak had a couple receivers that got open with quickness similar to Beasley and a tight end that can actually make a play with the ball in his hand. A playmaking tight end may be this team’s biggest need considering how much Dak loves to throw to the tight end and the lack of playmaking ability there.

It’s not a coincidence that Keenum turned his career around this season with the Vikings. He has a tight end that can make plays, a strong running game and receivers that get open.

He's the most complete receiver on the team.

I would encourage him to walk, because i dont feel Linehan is going to scrap everything and present a better offense.

The WR's core will stay the same.
Except Butler will be gone most likely. So they need, MUST, draft a speedy WR, and has size too.

So Dez, TWill, Beasley, Brown, Switzer Draft.
If Butler is resigned then then there is no hope, or what very little hope anyone has will be gone. As then we will never see Dak throw more than 15 yards and way too often it will be off target.

The new wide receiver coach will be critical. With salary cap, we can't swap out our high prices receivers. Maybe, one. It'll cost us big to bring in a FA with this offense.

Right on! Dak and Witten (Sad to say but, it's time) need to be replaced with speed guys. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Gronk clone running
down the seam who can open up the field for the receivers to break open. Dak is not Romo and will never be Romo.

If we want to have a chance at the playoffs and give Dak a reasonable chance at success, we have to release guys to just can't get the job
done any longer. It is a mistake to keep doing the wrong think wrongly. Jerry has to go Dak friendly if he wants to compete.

It’s not. Its also with the OL and coaching. The offense needs retooling in talent and coaching to meet Daks skill sets.

In one season our offense went from our strength to our weakness. Amazing!!

His 2018 salary is guaranteed. They'd be out $3.75 million just from the signing bonus if they could trade him. They'd be out a lot more with a release. The fact that the article doesn't even examine the cap ramifications of his release makes me think that it's a site that's not even worth reading.

I know TWill is not a fan favorite, but he is a favorite of mine. He isn't a #1 receiver and we saw that in 2015, but he is a solid #2. I think his overall numbers are hurt due to the Cowboys running game. I believe in another offensive system he can flourish. He's a good blocker and makes clutch catches. Without him, we probably don't beat Detroit in the playoffs. His catch and run for the TD late in the 1st half got the Cowboys back in a game in which they were being dominated on both sides of the ball and he had the GW TD reception too.
