Not an argument.

Pats "prosper" because the AFC side has incompetent owners who can't put together a solid team. Tell me the franchise QBs these teams have had the past couple decades
Uh, gee, ever heard of Peyton Manning? Patriots won 4 Super Bowls while he was playing. Guess he's not a franchise QB though.

Oh, there's also a fella name Ben Roethlisberger that they've had to go through a couple times. He's a franchise QB by any definition of the word.

Ok so the official didn't give an explanation. So you can assume it was a defenseless reciever.

Either way you are assuming like the rest of us. Go back to your damn corner.
Nobody is assuming anything. We all know it was the right call. It was helmet to helmet on a defenseless receiver and you are on an island here. That silence you hear is the sound of absolutely no one agreeing with you.

The NFL today is a joke of rules that have made the game play worse. But that's another discussion for another thread.

With that said, what was called on the field on that Gronk hit? A helmet to helmet or a defensless reciever?

Barry Church admitted after game it was penalty

No matter what you call it it was right call. Helmet to helmet and defenseless. It’s a flag every time. I too love big hits but don’t mind when protecting heads

He has a valid point, though, that DB's - both college and pro - can be damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Btw

Amendola started his career as an undrafted practice squad guy with the Cowboys. Never elevated to active roster.

We are great on developing talent

Agree! Though I think you can stick your helmet in guys ribs but Gronk trucks you. Tough at full speed

Oh I'm sure Church hopes he's ok. Church admits it's a hard thing to guage in today's NFL.

I only contend that Church didn't lead with his helmet. He went in with his shoulder and it didn't and still doesn't look like a clean helmet to helmet hit.

I agree, they'll throw a flag on that everytime. It's something that I think is ridiculous but it is what it is. It would have to be for a defenseless receiver in my opinion.

Either way, as a defender, what else are you supposed to do? Gronk is a big man. If a team is going to go over the middle or throw balls up to big players like that then they should expect to get popped.

Oh great, you listed off two franchise QBs outside of Brady. What about the other teams? Can you list them? Flacco and Dalton? The Bengals owner doesn't even have enough balls to fire a coach after two decades of never winning a playoff game.

Again, this doesn't take away Brady being great or BB being great, it however does show the incompetence of most of the NFL. If you can't get a franchise QB in over 2 decades, you have no business running an NFL team.

If you can predict who is going to be in the Super Bowl or championship game at the beginning of every season, and you're right the majority of the time, there's a problem.

They preferred to go with the dual threat WR/Rapper -- Cole "Beastlie Boy" Beasley.

LOL like I care if anyone agree's with me.

It wasn't a clean helmet to helmet hit in my opinion. If anything, it had to be defenseless.

There is a ban on a ball carrier initiating contact with the crown of his helmet in the open field or by a defender while making a tackle. A 15 yard penalty will be called if a tackler initiates forcible contact by delivering a blow with the top/crown of his helmet against an opponent when both players are clearly outside the tackle box. Incidental contact by the helmet of a tackler against an opponent would not be deemed a foul.

He didn't lead with his helmet at all.

That tends to happen when you hold a grudge for over a decade for something meaningless.
Great. You Romo haters are a odd lot, glad to keep you around for entertainment. And pity.
I hope he keeps on annoying you over and over again.. it’s entertaining how much it bothers you.
Hmmm yet here you are crying on the message board about him. Your remote is broken. Hold on I’ll grab you a box of tissue.

Gimme a break. They don't grow on trees.

Why is having greatness a problem? Should we stop watching the NBA since I can predict Golden State will be there again this year? And face it: No one had Jax, Philly or Minnesota. It's just one team destroying the curve.

You don't have to lead with your helmet. Read the rule I quoted.
