Regardless of what you think about Dak

This must be the "Gee, let's feel better about our quarterback seeing how he couldn't take us to the NFC Championship but scrubs like Foles and Keenum did" thread.

Unless Dak develops into John Elway, he's not taking us anywhere with this coaching staff. Meanwhile, the Keenums and Foles of the league will find a staff who knows how to fit them in a system, position them for a Super Bowl run, and we'll be right back here extolling how Dak is a better quarterback than some other scrub who finds himself in a championship game.

And Dak isn't being handicapped by Garrett? Foles would look like garbage here

You guys are too funny.

If anything , Dak Prescott is the "Jason Garrett" of Quarterbacks.

Let me explain.

Before Dak got here, he played a conservative brand of football. He avoided interceptions at all costs and took dump offs over longer completions..

This is the patented "play not to lose" approach.

Dak has been this way since college.

This play sums Dak Prescott up perfectly-

End of the half, time for one more play, Hail Mary is called, throws the ball out of bounds to prevent an INT...

That is not winning football.

Jason Garrett and Prescott are one and the same. Talk a good game and regurgitate dated one liners but when the game is on the line, hope the other guys make a mistake and play not to lose.

Garrett isn't holding Dak back, it was a match made in football hell.

How many pick sixes did those guys throw this year? Foles was launching the ball deep and stuck in the pocket until the last minute. I don’t see any of these guys getting ancy over little pressure.

This is the same coaching staff that made the decision to start Dak over Romo despite Romo being better than him in practice and wouldn’t let Romo compete for the job and whom players are now openly saying basically bailed this offense out with him lining the team up and calling plays..

So you don’t trust this coaching staff but you trust their decision on believing this QB can get it done...

Dakwent 13-3. Not like Romo was that much superior if he'd played.

The Jaylon Smith that just had a pretty good year after red shirting his rookie season and is only going to get better? That Jaylon Smith?

Well I'm not sure we can draw the conclusion that he is going to be a world beater. But at least he is starting to rebound. But I wouldn't throw him into the dominant category.

My definition of good is the same one everyone else uses. Is this Jaylon's final season? What do you kmow that know one else knows?

Easy tiger. You are defending the play of a guy that dcame disnt play all that well in stretches and that's putting it kindly. I hope he sets the world on fire next year, and he might, but drawing a firm conclusion that he will be the next Sean Lee next year is a pretty big leap.

He’d probably get past the first playoff game with a RB averaging over 5 YPC and defenses stacking the box to stop him.

And I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t throw record pick 6s this year like Dak did nor would they need to dumb down the offense for him like they did this year after giving him more responsibility of which he failed at..

He couldn’t stay healthy.

Injuries ended his career.

I don’t know why that’s so hard for people to comprehend. Romo’s body gave out on him. It’s a shame. I was a big fan of his as well. But it’s the truth

Well, the spine doctors said otherwise,

but supposedly for those saying he could play is hard to comprehend...

Yeah we also heard Romo was in the best shape he had been in for years, right before the Seahawks game when he got shelved for half a season again....

That’s absurd.. he was overweight and no medical doctor said such a thing..

The spine doctors did say that injury was standard biomechanics fracture for anybody., had nothing to do with Tony specifically being brittle and their recovery period timing was spot on..

And Aaron Rodgers likes to break his clavicle to the point he got like 13 screws in it in this second time around..

Everyone must admit that he is AT LEAST as good as Keenum and Foles and better than Bortles. I would argue that his running ability alone makes him better than all three when he's playing well. Regardless, those who we can't win big with him are arguing in the face of current events.

It's why I maintain our draft/FA should be dedicated to defense.
I think he’s about as good as Keenum. That’s not good enough.

He should have been given the opportunity to see if he could play when he came back. We pissed off a great chance to get to a super bowl.

Let me know when Rodgers misses a season and a half in a row.

Rodgers is also younger than Romo was and a better player. As much as I like Romo the comparison isn’t similar
