Is anyone still pleased with the 6-0 win against the Iggles?

My main point is it looked like they were trying to lose scoring only 6 points, hard to blame Garrett or whoever for winning a pointless game

Interesting read right here. I wasn't aware of it but, according to the research, he's right.

http://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/201...cal-study-10-years-tanking-approximate-value/
Thanks for the find...... I remember reading something similar probably that one in fact

But overall there have been many studies and blogs about it and they all come to same conclusion.... the draft is a crapshoot and moving back slightly is worth a lot more than moving up and wasting picks

Of course there are always exceptions but look at Tom Brady and tell me the Draft is a science

Crying over 3 draft spots after the top5-10 is silly and arrogant

Philly lost knowing that we would drop in the draft. It was a very good loss for them.

You won't say this when serious blue chippers fall to 15 and 18 and we miss them by just that much. You'll be admitting just how wrong you are about this issue.

It's not lame.

It's common sense. Picking 16th gives you a better chance of getting the guy you might want than picking 19th.

If we were picking 3 spots higher in the last draft, we would have gotten McKinley, who we wanted more than Charlton.
To me it is like Fantasy Football
The best bettors get around 54% of the games right ATS

Now fantasy comes along and we are not only supposed to know how the game will unfold but which individual players will score and get the most yards... anyone can make an educated guess but that is all that it is

I have won my leagues at every draft position in 10-14 team leagues because I am not so arrogant to stick to one projection.........if the draft goes RB then go WR or QB to get value and visa versa.... I also draft the best Kickers and D/STs in the 8th-10th rounds.....everyone drafted after starters are just churned anyhow

Anyone that tells you they can rank players 1-200 is full of it.....the Top 5 maybe 10 guys stand out.....after that do your homework but you are still throwing darts

If beating PHI meant we lost our 1st round pick completely then cry away but all it means is going from 16 to 19 boo freakin hoo

It may have been the most pointless and costly win in team history and is the lowest we have ever scored and won in regular season. Obviously you can't lose in purpose but a lot of people are going to be unhappy on draft day when our most needed player is taken one or two spots ahead of dallas.

Not a chance...... I want to trade back with a team that wants a QB like Mayfield or Jackson

I don't think there is any standout in the whole class

You know what would be so funny? Jerry lets everyone know who he plans to pick and Philly trades up, swoops in and takes Jerry's pick. Not because they need the player, just to spite Jerry

The most costly win in team history! Wow, such a dramatic moment in the entire history of the Cowboys and so few people noticed. The anti-Herschel Walker trade!

Or maybe we can relax a bit. First round picks aren't guaranteed elite players, and being a few picks lower than we would have been had we lost the game is not a death blow.

Agreed.
I relaxed the moment we beat those parrot heads and finished 5-1 in the East.

The league hasn't gone through the draft evaluation process yet. You have no clue which players will be desired and how. There's a good chance we lost a lot of value and will rue the day we won that game.

Garrett liked their fight and grit, they way they kept grinding. You should, too.

Was he talking about the grill guy at Pat's?

They were playing against unemployed cooks and bus boys. Of course they looked like they had more fight and grit. A Ferrari and a moped get into a race. If the Ferrari purposely never gets above 30 MPH and the moped wins, does that mean the moped showed more 'fight and grit'?

Garrett is a flippin' jackwagon who has no clue. They beat them 6-0 and he says he liked their fight and grit. Laughable.....

I confess. I exaggerated it appears. And if Dallas gets the guy they intended there is no harm. If James ends up in Washington we may regret it quite a bit.
