This is exactly why I hope dak leaves once his contract is up. Now case keenum and Blake bortles are better than dak?

You are just making excuses.. the medical experts all said differently and yet you continue to yap away.

I’m the one making excuses. When literally you just made an excuse for Romo’s last injury, by stating he was out of shape, due to surgery, from his previous injury. But I am the one making excuses? Haha that’s rich.

The doctors were speaking about one specific injury, his last one.

Sure they can say that, the injury is healed.

But there is no specific test for somebody being injury prone. If not we would have doctors releasing a report that Sean Lee is injury prone. Now wouldn’t we?

Tony being out of shape from surgery which is an excuse? Since when did I say Tony’s last injury was because of this last injury when I said spinal surgeons basically say it is common for any athlete from the way it happened.

You on the other hand tried to make some stupid analogy between the lay off of his off season surgery to his last injury as being similar, when the latter didn’t require surgery and Romo was in rehab immediately and only required the standard 8 weeks time for an injury to heal.

You are making excuses and it’s no surprise considering your Forum ID name..

Actually what you said was the definition of excuse.

You brought up Romo’s off season surgery and being out of shape, when discussing the last injury.

When being out of shape because of surgery due to injury, and then getting injured again is pretty much the definition of injury prone like I was stating.

You can attack my forum ID all you want. I was a huge Romo fan. But unlike you, I was able to move on and not spend the last year and a half crying over spilled milk.

Getting injured again in a totally unrelated injury to his past surgery..

How hard is that to comprehend?

There is no excuse about being out of shape after a surgery that requires months off resting as compared to a back fracture that requires no surgery to heal and one can rehabilitate immediately,.

Just stop..

Romo was a regular season warrior against mediocre teams. The Cowboys need a big game QB. We need to find one of those again.

Yeah we also heard Romo was in the best shape he had been in for years, right before the Seahawks game when he got shelved for half a season again....
Romo didn't practice on Wednesdays and needed shots to play . The guys body had given all it had . He was never close to being in the condition Dak is in and was at the point he couldn't protect himself .
Availability is job one and Tony no longer had it at an NFL level or he would be still playing instead of commentating on games featuring QBs older than him.

Everyone must admit that he is AT LEAST as good as Keenum and Foles and better than Bortles. I would argue that his running ability alone makes him better than all three when he's playing well. Regardless, those who we can't win big with him are arguing in the face of current events.

It's why I maintain our draft/FA should be dedicated to defense.

I think he is way better than brady. We should give him 200 mil / 4 years all guarnteed right now!

i /liked but i also think Dak needs to improve his accuracy and let the ball rip into tighter windows otherwise it will be stalemate.

The difference with foles and keenum is they have coaching and are veterans. Dak is only in year two. With horrid coaching. That cuts a lot of slack for him in my book. I just hope he can overcome bad coaching like Tony had to do most of his career. And I hope he can do it better than Tony could.

And how far removed from surgery, was Romo when he broke his back in August?

The dude was injury prone towards the end.

Look at how many games he missed.

It’s a fact.

He didn’t even survive his first hit in the pre-season for crying out loud.

Why do you think Romo didn’t play this season?

If not for the injury history and age, another team would have thrown serious cash at him.

But I’m sure you know more than other GM’s around the league too?
Romo retired because a role as the color analyst on a national network's #1 team was more attractive than starting over as the QB of another franchise after he was foolishly run out of town. The rest of your post has inaccuracies as well, but at least realize that he didn't retire due to lack of interest on the part of other GMs other than the one in Dallas that has no clue.

But hey, Garrett and team get a pass because they lost their starting RB for 6 games and their LT and ML for 4+.

This happens all the time actually. Media and fans are just plain dumb... so they make a big deal out of it when it happens

Cowboys won 13(and I know winning 13 is no big deal) w/o their ROH QB, so called best CB, best rusher, Dez missed 3, Claiborne missed games

GB won it all when their team was a mash unit

Big surprise w Eagles is they're doing it with a back up... a backup w a 119 rating season under his belt.

Why must we admit that he's just as good? He looked like crap the entire season minus a couple games, and he looked even worse when Zeke served his suspension. Foles Bortles & Keenum can all throw the ball better than Dak.

The Eagles WRs don't have a QB throwing over their heads or out of bounds either.
