My two favorites in the game, Ford and Davenport, had a good game.

There are some intriguing TEs on the North roster: Gesicki (Penn State), Fumagalli (Wisconsin), and Cooper Rush's former teammate Tyler Conklin.
I told you all to watch the Notre Dame TE...Smythe. He is smooth and is well rounded. It showed today. Conklin is another. Not sold on Gesicki. For me, Conklin and Smythe were head and shoulders above the others today. They are plug and play guys day 1.

Love the Penny kid...runs hard. Glad he is moving on out of the Mt. West.:)
What you think about Mike White today? I predicted he would be a guy to show out. He is deadly accurate and can make all the passes. He and Allen, and the kid from Rhode Island lit it up. Mayfield was uninspiring. His stock will drop I bet. Chark was an animal...off the charts. Penny surprised me..as well as the Zona RB..

Smythe....Doesn't do anything special....But I can see him being one of those guys that just continues to make your roster year after year...and before you know it...He's been in the league 10 years. Kinda of a JAG...But someone like the Giants will draft him...and he will be a PITA for us a decade.:banghead:

good analogy. Smythe isnt going to wow you with speed...but he is just a sound football player.does it all good. But his hands are dynamite...as well as his routes. Sounds like a Witten clone. As much as I like him,I would rather have Conklin or roll the dice on Ian Thomas. We gotta get some youth at TE..someone who can get down field to stretch the defense.

Mike White.....like him. But I thought the Kyle Lauletta QB Richmond kid out played him. Quicker..more compact release.

And the Arizona St. RB...me likey. Had way more change of direction than I thought. Thought he was gonna be more like 4 yards...and a cloud of dust.

A lot of good running backs in this draft....Another kid that popped for me was Ito Smith. Love his vision...change of direction....quick feet.

Ian Thomas....another cat I like.

This is what I love about this years draft....It's very deep w/ good prospects. Usually....you get to end of round 5....and then it becomes a crap shoot. Not this year. I'm 8 rounds into my mock...And I'm still finding guys that I think will make a roster.

Compact release is a great thing at any level..I liked the Rhode Island QB too...he might be a diamond in the rough...someone you can stash and develop...I think he and White can play at the next level and be big time.I think the Nebraska kid (LEE)played himself right onto his living room couch. HE STANK IT UP. He has no accuracy play in,play out. I think Allen mad some money and he is in the convo at 1 overall after today. Mayfield dropped some...he is a early day 2 pick. He will slide. Davenport was a beast..its like he flipped a switch and came alive. The Reaves kid from South Alabama(db) had a solid game..he made plays all day long. I see him as a 4th round steal. Dunno bout you...I think I might take another QB in this draft just in case Dak regresses.
