Boycott until Garrett is fired

It’s the only solution. Why should we willingly support a product with our time and $ that we know isn’t up to par? I honestly want to jump off this sinking ship all together but I’ve gone too far in this journey already to call myself anything but a Cowboys fan. It’s obvious that until Garrett is fired this team isn’t going anywhere and the ownership of the team just does not care. A message needs to be sent to Jerry and the only 1 he will listen to is 1 that reaches his wallet. The Cowboys aren’t the Bengals, no way we should accept mediocrity while ownership laughs all the way to the bank

I can't see myself ever boycotting the team. The product may eventually get to a point, for long enough, that I just stop caring and stop watching - but I can't see myself ever boycotting it.

That’s called boycotting. Everyone should be there already, if not what will it take?

While I'll continue to be a diehard Cowboys fan for the foreseeable future, this is one of those times that I can't help but wonder why I chose this team. I'm 25 years old, and I've NEVER seen the Cowboys win the Super Bowl on TV live. I've never seen us even in the NFC Championship. Seeing what Doug did with that team, and knowing what Garrett is and always will be is depressing as a Cowboys fan.

I did not watch the last five games of the season due to the corruptness of the league, the issue we are not aloud to talk about here due to the political ramifications, and also because of Garrett. I also did not watch any playoff games or the Superbowl. I have not decided whether I will watch next season or not but I am leaning toward sitting out next season. I see no reason to support a corrupt league or a Garrett coached team. I have said many times I would give up the NFL before I switched teams and that is what I did for the last part of the season. I will keep up with Cowboy news solely from this and a few other forums.

with the Arkansas football guy at GM, Garrett leaving won't make much of a difference.

The problem is there are still way too many that think everything is fine, the stadium is filled with opposing fans and they're #1 in merchandising. I want Garrett gone but a boycott won't get it done. I haven't bought merchandise or been to a game in years. And refuse to go to the new stadium. Unfortunately Jerry waking up is the only thing that will get Garrett out of here.

we haven't been relevant since the 90's and jerry is still making money. win, lose or draw doesn't matter... only a natural disaster can change this..

Firing Garrett isn’t digging the weed out by the root.

I’m all for financial boycotting. Do what you can but unless it’s directly involved with the attendance at the game it’s not going to have the impact needed.

Cowboys Local TV viewership is at its lowest point percentage wise in team history with some of the lowest percentages in NFL. Some other markets actually have a higher percentage than DFW area for Cowboy games . Merchandise sales have slid from the top spot. Attendance at the games from opposing fans is filling the stadium. Some games close to half. We’ve never seen anything like it.

The apathy and loss of fan interest locally is at an all time high. I’m not sure what else we can do. Tens of thousands of us old diehard season ticket holders from Texas Stadiun boycotted the new stadium and warned back then that once the PSL’s were committed and season tickets attached there would be no turning back. Jerry would be locked in to do as he pleased without any real effect on revenue as long as there were butts in the seats the sponsors would continue.

Im afraid it’s too late now. We’re going to have to wait for the next generation of Jones or new owners for the change we’d all hope to see with the Dallas Cowboys. That said like with any franchise or schoool you follow there’s no guarantees they’ll have success. Winning of course is always more fun but shouldn’t be why we follow or support our local or favorite team.

While I agree with the sentiment behind the OP, I can't boycott the Dallas Cowboys...I say to anyone that will listen to me that I will watch the games, and turn the channels during the commercials...I don't want to see anything that the NFL hocks, I won't buy that...I know that in past years, I would watch other games before Dallas comes on, but not anymore, I just don't care about the game as much as in the past since the tyrant goodell took over and gets the rubber stamp treatment from the owners...it isn't even entertainment for me now, which, by the way, is all that Jones cares about...it isn't a sport to him, winning doesn't matter; it is an opportunity for you to look under his big top and see Jerry's circus....jerry doesn't care if you don't like the elephants running around in circles chasing their own tails (coaching staff), tigers jumping thru circles with feigned growls (dez), or the dumb dog tricks (vanilla game plan)....he cares that you bought a ticket and then go to the concession stand to get your popcorn...Jerry is in the center ring with his top hat on telling you that this is his show, and if you don't like it, the next performance is sold out so please leave his venue in an orderly fashion because the next set of ticket-buyers are waiting

History is littered with various forms of legitimately viable boycotts, financial or otherwise, on the local, national and even international level. There have been talks of boycotting the Cowboys, Jerry Jones, etc. for, easily, 20 years.

Question.

Why has no one ever stepped up, created and headed a single irrefutably reasonable and valid boycott against the owner of this franchise in all this time?
