I Wouldn’t want Manziel in the Cowboys locker room. He garnishes too much attention as a 3QB. He never had anyone humble him in college so he’s not comfortable in an NFL locker room. Dak deserves to not have that type of distraction for at least another season.

I think this thread proves our fan base suffers from Stockholm syndrome and is conditioned to mimic jerruh's ineptitude

Besides, Dallas has a former Coke head Wr in the HOF. What’s your beef?
Don’t really see any comparison between the two.

Michael Irvin played at a championship/HOF level before AND after his coke bust.

Johnny Manziel, until he proves differently, is a failure at the NFL level — which is why he’s currently negotiating with a CFL team.

Yeah, I know. He's a knucklehead, and didn't look like an NFL QB. I thought it was a joke anyone wanted him in the first round - some of you wanted him, don't deny it - but we know Jerry liked him. Offer him the veteran minimum. If he still sucks, cut him. He'd be cheap competition for Dak, and some fans would be excited about it.

Crazy? Probably, but we have a 76 page thread about the Dez play from 2014. At least this would be relevant.

I'm sorry, but that is an absolutely horrible idea. Maybe the worst idea today.

I wouldn’t mind giving him a chance as the 3Qb. Insurance in case Dak can’t rebound, Although I personally want to see more of Cooper Rush this preseason.
Hell, Dallas has rolled the dice on a number of iffy players in the past. What would it hurt to roll the dice on a former 1st round QB that apparently has gotten his life together.. keep him on a short lease. Why not? I’m all for it.

Has anyone else seen his recent interview? He takes full responsibility and seems genuine. He received treatment and is on Bipolar meds.. if we can give others a second chance.. why not him? He won’t cost much and has everything to prove.

Leaving aside for the moment the sheer insanity of wanting to bring in a bipolar qb, what about that interview "seemed genuine"?

Haley apparently was bipolar too. Dimitrius Underwood as well. So that certainly wouldn't stop Jerry.

Certainly bring him in.

If we can get him for nothing, great. QBs have real value. If nothing else, if he works out we could churn him, into a trade/comp pick.

You want an alcoholic nutcase as insurance? OK then.

Johnny is the opposite of insurance - he'd be a lottery ticket.

But I'm all for lottery tickets. That's one advantage we have with Jerry - we can buy the lottery tickets other GMs can't.

Jerry's lottery tickets will probably look a whole lot better when we see a fully healthy Jaylon in action.

Only if Johnny is hired by Stephen to party with Jerry and keep Jerry distracted enough not to meddle at all..then I'm on board with signing Johnny and even buying his jersey.
