If I had been asked this question when I was 15, then the Universal monster list would have been included here.

This includes Sci-Fi as well.

Mine is a tie because I cannot watch one without the other and they're perfected matched with the sequel.

"Alien" and "Aliens".
Exactly what came to mind when I read the thread title. Sigourney Weaver immediately became one of my top 5 favorite actresses after watching the first one.

Im watching it right now Clash Of The Titans The Abyss

The Exorcist

Though I have had a few marathon nights doing the Hellraiser, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street series.....
The Exorcist STILL tops my favorite all-time horror film list. My wife leaves me sitting in the living room alone as soon as she sees I spotted the title in the channel guide. She knows I will drop everything and start watching no matter where the movie is at the time. She cannot stand the puking.

Me? I have watched that movie so many times I lost count a long time ago BUT I still mutter the same thing every freaking time...

KARRAS! DO NOT LEAVE MERRIN ALONE IN THE ROOM WITH THAT THING!

Then I shut up. Eyes glued. Re-watched tons of times over 40 years. Does not matter. Eyes glued. Classic.

I watch a good deal of the movies mentioned here already.

However I am going to go a different route.

I am just going to mention NEW ones.

And by far, without question...

Conjuring 1 and Conjuring 2.

They just did it right IMO. I could not get into the 1st Annabelle movie and have not seen the second one yet. Shocked that the same people did those and yet they were so good vs so bad (at least for the first annabelle).

I have only watched it a couple of times but I have liked it maybe due to not really hearing much about it prior...Autopsy of Jane Doe.
