Bears are releasing Pro Bowl offensive lineman Sitton. Do we dare take a hard look at him in free agency? It would free us up in the draft to fill other needs as well.

We need a swing tackle but he’s gonna be a bit pricey for swing tackle and they paid Collins tackle money so he’s not going back to guard

played 12 and 13 games the last two seasons; will be 32 in June. Year 12 in the NFL. Lot of wear and tear on him.

Yes,but as a swing tackle he wouldnt be starting...so he would offer quality depth..proven player. So WHEN Tyron goes down...maybe he can come in.

sure, lets sign everyone, if other teams dont want them and you know, we defintely know what we have in our new OL coach. Lets just sign anyone not in a Cowboys jersey.

If his deal would be team friendly, I have no qualms giving Sitton a 2-3 year deal as swing tackle while a younger replacement is found.

Why are people thinking of him as a swing tackle? The guy is a pure guard.

Beat me to it.

He’s going to get a decent contract ... and START. Why would he come here when he can be a starter?

I’m guessing people are considering him a swing tackle, because he played Tackle in Green Bay for a few games and in Chicago a few games last season.

But yes, he’s going to be a guard and needs to stay at guard.
In Green Bay he played LT once and that was week 17 of 2016.

I don't think he played OT in Chicago.
