I have confidence in our young CB core, however, yes I would have. One of the best CBs in the league for that price? Absolutely.

Not a RKG though, even though maybe this defense could use some attitude.

I wonder if our brass was smart enough to even inquire. We had a great history in trading and signing free agents, Sanders and Haley...were key. In recent years we have come up short. There has been plenty of inexpensive talent on the market. It is unknown if teams wont trade with us or we turn down offers that could really benefit the team. Heck if we cut Jason Wittens salary in half like we hope to do Dez's contract, we would have the money to resign Peters to a long term deal and lock down one side of the field.
