Did you see the difference in vertical and broad jump between the 2? No ones claiming him to be a better althlete for running 0.01 seconds faster in the 40.Whos quicker 10 yard and 3 cone? You can't really claim one to be faster when the difference is very minimal, obviously is by a hair, but does Moore does look like a better athlete.
I did a recent mock draft roundup, which you can find here. Roquan Smith and Tremaine Edmunds are bound to go top 11. Derwin James is trending way up and Vita Vea will be right there with him as well. If Dallas can’t trade up for either of those guys, you know who I want? D.J. Moore.
Let’s play the comparison game. If you take away the names and just watch his tape side-by-side with Calvin Ridley’s, I don’t know how you wouldn’t rather have D.J. Moore. Both are great route runners, both have great hands, both get separation, but Moore is a beast after the catch.
If you want to incorporate measurables, Moore comes out on top again.
D.J. Moore VS Calvin Ridley
Height - 6’0” VS 6’0”
Weight - 210 lbs VS 189 lbs
Arms - 31 5/8” VS 31 5/8”
Hands - 9 5/8” VS 9 1/8”
40 Time - 4.42 VS 4.43
Vertical Jump - 39.5” Vs 31”
Broad Jump - 11’0” VS 9’2”
Bench Press - 15 VS 15
Moore is bigger, stronger, faster, has better tape, is three years younger and is more of a dog too. I hope the Cowboys trade up for Derwin James, but I’d be more than happy with D.J. Moore at 19.
DJ Moore
I really like the player.
Cant wait to see how his NFL career unfolds.
But there are 3-4 guys in this firum that must getting paid by his agent
Hey, he sure didn't hurt himself today.
He might go early...or he might be the 5th or 6th WR taken.
NO WAY I'd remotely consider him at 19.
Thats mind boggling
Yet, I do like the player
That vertical is pretty starkDid you see the difference in vertical and broad jump between the 2? No ones claiming him to be a better althlete for running 0.01 seconds faster in the 40.
I think it increases the likely hood of teams trading out for QB needy teams.Really? I think those 3 stock dropping has the opposite effect on us. I think it makes even less likely Vea, Ro Smith, Edmunds, Or James make it to our pick. Increases the chances of Wynn, Hernandez, Ronnie Harrison getting drafted ahead of us as well
Still waiting on Ridley’s 60 YD Shuttle.Whos quicker 10 yard and 3 cone? You can't really claim one to be faster when the difference is very minimal, obviously is by a hair, but does Moore does look like a better athlete.
Still waiting on Ridley’s 60 YD Shuttle.
Moore VS Ridley
3 Cone - 3.95 VS 6.88
20 YD Shuttle - 4.07 VS 4.41
60 Yd Shuttle - 11.18 VS N/A
Typo. You’re correct.*6.95

Because I think there are 4-5 just as good as him. One them will be there in the 2nd, or maybe even the 3rd...so why would ever take him at 19Why not? Do you think he’s a slot guy only? I don’t...Steve Smith isn’t, and I think the comparison that’s being made is pretty accurate. The things that really matter for a WR...can he get open (I.e. run good routes), can he reliably catch the ball, and can he make something after the catch...he checks all those boxes. Plus, I really think people are underestimating how much we need a WR who can create separation to open our offense up, especially if we’re keeping Dez.
With 4 QBs taken before our pick, I see 14 players just about guaranteed to go before us. Lamar Jackson is a wildcard but include him then 15 players. Those 3 other players taken ahead of us is gonna be stressfulI think it increases the likely hood of teams trading out for QB needy teams.
I could see Wynn to Ravens or Seattle but I think Hernandez will be there.
Isaiah Wynn, Hernandez.Who will be their that will be leaps and bounds better then him?
We aren't taking the 30th best player at 19. There will be other players mainly Wynn and Hernandez there that will be a much better choice. He’s #30 on Dane Brugler’s big board. Remove the QBs, RBs, TEs and & Hurst and that brings him up to #20. We pick 19.

I'm always late in this process, so I'll continue to evaluate.
Lime I said, I do lime him.
You have four 1st round offensive linemen. Taking a 5th is a complete waste of resources. I highly doubt they would diminish their returns by doing that unless it’s for Quentin Nelson, which obviously it won’t be.We aren't taking the 30th best player at 19. We've already had this discussion about this more than once in this forum. A clear case has been made that drafting a dominant guard like Wynn or Hernandez would not be a waste of resources. Drafting a WR that's no better than Terrence Williams would be a waste of resources. You have four 1st round offensive linemen. Taking a 5th is a complete waste of resources.
