Scandrick informed he is being released

Scandrick is the anti-Seattle CB prototype: Small and doesn't like to hit. They like the big DB's that love to hit/tackle (obviously Earl is the lone 'small' guy but he plays big).

Outside of some team giving him an offer he can't refuse, I'll bet my money he goes to a California team on a discount to be where he spends all of his time anyway (home and wife there).
I predicted he would end up with the Rams as their nickel DB and reunite with Wade Phillips and play in his home city in Los Angeles.

So, doing this now rather than at the start of FA suggests to me they were having discusssions that involved trading him. Doing it now instead of doing it later means those discussions didn’t go anywhere. We moving on from the idea of a Thomas trade? Any other rumored trades?

Raiders just signed Rashaan Melvin from Colts. You’d think there might be a fit there with Eberflus.
I fully expect Scandrick to play near LA where is from and lives.
He's a good nickel CB. Same as he always was.
He just never could play outside very well.

And we have similar guys in Lewis and Woods who are very, very cheap.

This must be a mistake. There's several pages of another thread telling me it's impossible to do business unless they're sitting in a war room.
They can just do this...

When people complain about Dead Money they never include how much was saved

Next year people will see an extra 5.6m but won't associate it with cutting Scandrick

Sure. We no longer are on the hook for a guy that has been a non-factor for years and it only ends up being almost 4 mil in dead cap this year for him.

Great contract. WINNING!

Other teams work out a trade, all we hear about are releases.

Pathetic, just terrible.

because our management continues to make it aware that we are going to release a player if we can't trade them. Does any other team do that? why give up resources when i can just wait for him to become available a couple weeks later?

Same here. Give me the depth over $1.4 million and giving yet another malcontent exactly what he wants.
really so keep him and hes cancer in the locker room and lays half speed all year..right great idea..they tried trading didn't work..other guy says he serviceable..yes we sure are going to have hard time replacing serviceable..lmao SMH..my neck hurts from this forum.

What an uninformed take on the cap and OScan.... take a pill

LOL! Maybe you believe he has been a bargain. Why not? You consider it "savings" when we only have to take a 4 mil cap hit for him this year and he is finally off the books next year.

Great "savings". It is almost as if he will play for free next year.

good riddens he played hard and tried his best but he wasn't a star here, just role player..thats why Carr and Mo and the whole DB unit released last year and now him..these guys were just average players who were serviceable..they can be replaced with journeymen or draft picks..

Bye bye Felicia

Like you should give advice to anybody... ever. It's clear that you "think" whatever Jones and the Cowboys tell you to think.

You've already outed yourself.

Whatever this team decides to do, or not to do is the correct decision. And everything else comes with "no guarantees!" Just remember when you sign over that paycheck it's "J-E-R-R-Y J-O-N-E-S".
