Commanders signed CB Orlando Scandrick to a two-year contract.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the deal has a max value of $10 million. Scandrick's play has slipped in recent years, primarily due to injuries. He just turned 31 years old and will replace Kendall Fuller as Washington's slot corner. Fantasy leaguers should proactively start slot receivers against the Skin this year.

Clearly he had suitors. The Commanders and reportedly other teams were also interested. Seems odd the front office couldn't squeeze at least a 6th rounder for a player with such a low cap #.

he played 12 games in Washington after leaving the bucks. After Washington he came back to Dallas and played 2 games.

This doesn't make a lot of sense since Scandrick was making less than that on his contract with us, wasn't he? Wouldn't it have been smarter to trade a conditional late round pick to us rather than pay him that?

I normally agree with a sentiment like this, but any Cowboy who goes straight to a division rival can suck it in my book. I wish him bad things for his football career from here on out.
