10 mil but the team was willing to give watkins 16. How much you think Hurns is going to get with the type of money WRs are making? JG got 11 million guaranteed and you could bet Hurns is likely to exceed that. Plus the Jags found cheaper options in the draft which is exactly what the Cowboys should be doing!
11 Million for a guy that Witten wont let play and Garrett doesn't have the cojones to sit. Yeah great way to spend money

just saw a report that said Hurns was going to meet with jets first but a snowstorm forced him to meet with dallas first instead. lets see if he ever makes it out of dallas.

Witten won’t let him play? lol this is the transition to the next TE. That’s how you plan ahead and not just wing it when the time comes. You think Hurns or Watkins would have more of an impact than Graham?? This team would be a mismatch nightmare and a great thing for a young QB! Then the WRs you do have would have a lot more room to operate. That’s how you adjust and spend money!

Yeah, Witten wouldn't let him on the field. As has been the story with the past 6 TE's that have been on this team not named Jason Witten. Plan ahead? We are talking about the Cowboys right?

HE was cut as a cap casualty I think he knows he wont be making that kind of money. Especially this point in FA

Really?

Have you not seen the receiver contracts being handed out this year?

Never-was receivers are getting $8 million a year. And that's why Dez will now not be entertaining any thoughts of a paycut.

That's fair. Maybe the possibility of being a number 1 could entice him to take a 1 year now and re evaluate next year. Hes coming off of 2 down years.

Just keep in mind that he and his agent are still in contact with the Jets.

The cap rich, receiver starved Jets.

Then it's yet another step backwards.

And a built in excuse for Jerry to give Garrett yet another Free Pass for 2018.

Yes, the thought of our starting receivers being Bryant and Hurns makes me feel pretty good. The thought that they might be Hurns and Williams makes me feel like we're spinning our wheels at best.

SJ isn't going to pay that....our offer will be a 1 year 4-5 mil offer at best

I hope they lowball him. Because he's not worth what somebody will end up paying him. He flashed one year in Jacksonville.

He's a #2 guy at best and the Cowboys already guaranteed that role to Williams for 2018.

I sincerely hope that the Jets - like the Chiefs - save the Cowboys from making another stupid move

Maybe the Cowboys should stop guaranteeing roster spots before every new season? isn't the whole point of the whole "competition" we apparently have in our TC and part of our culture? If Williams wants to be number 2. Hes gotta beat out Hurns.
