Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign WR Thompson

Per Sportrac:
Deonte Thompson signed a 1 year, $2,500,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including a $1,000,000 signing bonus, $1,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,500,000. In 2018, Thompson will earn a base salary of $1,500,000 and a signing bonus of $1,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $2,500,000 and a dead cap value of $1,000,000.

This move makes no sense, why sign a 30 yr old receiver with no upside, who hasn’t done **** in the NFL?

Strategery.

You think that's what they offered Hurns, LOL.

I could be way off on this but my thinking is that they may want a WR in the 1st. Keep Dez around for another year as the rookie gets some playing time. No way this guy is a replacement for Dez.

so which do you prefer

High Roller Drunk Jerry splash signing free agents where no one was safe
or
Conservative Walmart Shopper Stephen?

both will leave their image on the franchise
10 years from now what will that be

To put it in perspective, this player now earns more in average salary than Zack Martin.
