Really Zrin? To be a great GM, I think you gotta be able to judge talent. I am not at all sure that Garrett is any better at that, then Jerry or Stephen.

See I disagree ........ we have a very talented team ........ guys like Beasley he saw something in that almost no one else did.......his problem is game management and game plans ......... something he would not do as GM. Let him oversee the team and have a real coach as a couch that answers to him and I think you would have something.

But thats just my opinion ........ I know many are totally down on Garrett ....... I am too as a coach but I also see his gifts.

I don't really think Garrett sees talent, all that well. I also don't agree about Beasley. I think a lot of people saw what he could be, coming out of SMU. I don't believe Garrett did all that much, in this area. I think Parcells and his regime did the bulk of collecting the base talent and then, I think the Cowboys were smart to secure Will McClay. I think that's the real talent behind the acquisition of talent.

I agree with you about his actual short fall in terms of Coaching.

All 32 teams passed on Beasley when he came out of college, so lets not act as if it was just Garrett that wasn't aware. And it was Dallas that signed him as a free agent, not the other 31 teams. And remember, Beasley actually dropped out of TC as a rookie, and the Cowboys convinced him to come back, so they must have seen something.
