I agree. Maybe they tried fishing out an amazing value for Thomas but they are quickly (well hopefully still) learning it isn't going to happen. Let them sit on it for a bit and get their bluff called and I bet they come down. This is also assuming they actually do want to move him. I feel like maybe they could/would as he clearly doesn't want to be there. You don't run up to another team's coach and yell "come get me" if you're still passionate about your current team.
You have to ask yourself exactly what the Seahawks are doing.
They've shipped out age and salary all over the team. And they've also switched out their entire coaching staff save for the head coach.
That's a rebuild. And you don't rebuild with a high-priced, 29-year old safety looking for another contract.
And you don't rebuild without draft picks. They can say whatever they want, but they're angling for as many draft picks as they can get for their rebuild.
I see what's happening in Seattle. And the rest of the league does too.
