Go watch the Denver game again and tell me he's a good blocker.

Lol.. you mean the game where everyone on the team sucked marbles? The same game where Witten went 10-97yd-1td? I don’t need to see one game. I watch all the games and have seen Witten seal the edge plenty of times.. try again. I don’t have to defend how good Witten is. My main point is.. Dallas has young talent at TE. I agree that Witten needs to have reduced snaps so we can see what we truely have before we blindly start drafting players that may never hit the field. Besides the fact that the TE position is the least of Dallas’s worries

Watch it. There were only a handful of run plays so it shouldn't take that long... that's all that was needed for us to be forced to abandon it because of him. It was that bad.

If the status quo means Witten is responsible for blocking someone, it should be a worry.

We don't need to lie to ourselves just because he's a future ring of honor guy. He's a liability. Go watch the film, leave your feelings at the door, and call it like it is.

And if you think poor blocking from 82 was a one game anomaly, then you haven't been paying attention over the past few years. There's no discussion to be had over it, he's a terrible blocker. I don't have any reservations about saying it, the film doesn't lie.

If we want to hold onto him for nostalgia purposes and the occasional 3rd down situation, sure, it's not my money to waste anyway. But they are severely handicapping the offense by rolling out old man rivers as plan A, that's just the reality of the situation. There's a reason teams let him catch so many passes. He's the antithesis to what a defense would consider a threat.

We need a TE on the roster to step up and scream “Enough is enough” in the girliest locker room voice they can so they can get Witten off his high horse. That same TE will also need to look for a job after cause Garrett will tell stephen to cut that player.

You'd be hard pressed to find another example of one player single handedly impeding a run game like he did that afternoon.

Claiming Jason Witten is a good blocker is the biggest myth there is in the NFL. He's stiff as a board.

Preach it.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten isn't planning on ending his playing career any time soon.

Per Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, Witten would like to keep playing for at least four more years.

"Hopefully I can play until I'm 40," Witten said. "Just taking it one year at a time."

Steady lads.
He just expressed a wish.
All of you louts without jobs or futures, wipe the froth from your jealous moufs.
Won't happen. He is just a baller who tries hard.

He was so bad last year, seriously. I love the guy but we need a TE1 and phase him into a TE2 role so badly. Need someone more athletic at the position.

I've been telling everybody, after the last game of the season JW was asked if he was returning next season and his answer was yes. I've never seen a guy of his age saying that after the last game, usually it's "I'll have to see how I feel physically or I'll have to talk it out with my wife and kids then I'll decide" but no JW he said right away yep I'll be back. JW knows that he's beloved by the Cowboys faithful and he knows that the fo would have pr nightmare if they cut him so he's going to wring every dime out of this organization.

Dak will have a good season and Witten can help make it happen if Dak figures out how to lead receivers instead of making them stop for passes That is 1 of his bad traits

Huge problem with late passes... I like the kid... Just can't see him becoming that franchise guy we are hoping for. I haven't seen anyone change their mechanics that much that I can recall. Better be a dramatic change this year.

Dak needs competition for the starting job it was gone last season and it showed If no one signs Johnny football after the draft we need to cause he is as good as Dak and can force him to produce

Jerry needs to put Witten on the same payroll as his hookers! And pay him to leave!!
