You guys want to discount the metric because it doesn't/can't cover all the variables. The metric is applied the same way, flawed as it may be, and shows a 10% deviation. That's a huge amount and is outside the range for margin of error so there's definitely something different happening.

All of the guys shown have the same QB for all years shown while Dez has two different QBs for the majority of the two periods of time shown. But let's all act like it's Dez that changed and fell off a cliff in his prime like most WRs do...

I'll repeat for those of you that suck at reading comprehension...

Dez had two different QBs FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE TWO PERIODS OF TIME SHOWN.

Dez is still Dez.

But Dez never really was Dez.

He was a product of Romo. That's why he needs to run to Rodgers or somebody that will make those same types of throws his way.

That isn't Deshaun Watson. That isn't Alex Smith. That isn't most quarterbacks.

Dez needs to choose carefully if given the chance.

Actually he only had one for the majority, Dak in 2016 and 2017, he had parade of backups in 2015. I was not trying to do anything with your original post just putting out info on who was throwing to him.

Actually he had Romo, Cassel, Dak and Moore (for less than 3 quarters). Moore and Dez connected on 4 of 7 targets and a touchdown in that time. One of those targets was essentially a Hail Mary late in the 4th quarter.

Dez was injured when Weeden played in 2015.

I wasn't sure about whether he had played with weeden I know there was overlap with his injury and when weeden started and was replaced.

He’s gone and I’m not pro or anti Dez, just saw this and posting for discussion and entertainment.

Regardless of what you're trying to do your comprehension still sucks.

Dez had. Two QBs. For the majority of the. TWO. PERIODS. Of time. Shown.

Still lead the NFL in drops on the 60% of "catchable" balls he had.
These statistics don't mean squat.
The only ones that mean anything are ones that support your position.

Your drops stat can be questionable also by someone sticking to their position.

ACtually that stat has been out for quite some time and while it certainly is something that supports Dez that does mean it is meaningless spin. Exactly what is this being spun from anyway?

So a 12 million dollar WR needs a pro bowl QB to get him good “catchable” balls whatever that means

We don’t have one anymore so why did we have an expensive Ferrari if we couldn’t use him correctly?

And if you try hard enough you can dismiss any bit of factual information that doesn't comport with your agenda.

Yes they do, they mean that both Dak and Dez had a bad year last year. I've been saying all along that "they" had a bad year not just Dez. Now one of them is gone.

The problem with that analogy is that the qb is suppose to be able to drive a ferrari, that's in the job description. You know like being able to complete passes and stuff.

With the naked eye last season, I could see at least a dozen or more throws that were off target. Question is, why? I think it was a combination of route running by Dez on some, and Dak misfiring on others.

For whatever reason, the Cowboys didn't think they would be able fix the issue, and moved on from Dez. I was hoping one more year, and they would get in sync. Oh well, it is what it is. He's gone now.
