Interested to know how you came to this conclusion. Why did you leave DT off the list? How did you narrow it down to those 3 players based on the fact the Cowboys have had 13 players visit the Star that could potentially go in the 1st round?
Players that came in for visits or had private workouts that could go in the 1st Round:
WR = Ridley, Moore, Sutton (3)
DT = Vea, Payne, Bryan (3)
OG = Daniels, Hernandez (2)
OT = McGlinchey, Williams (2)
DE = Landry (1)
LB = Vander Esch, Evans (2)
To me, drafting LVE and Hernandez probably goes against the theory of drafting the best player available. It seems more like desperation and drafting for need. DE, OT, and WR are far more valuable commodities than OG and LB. The draft shouldn't always be about filling your NEEDS. You should always try to draft the best player on your board, especially in the earlier rounds. If you have Harold Landry rated as the #11 propsect in the draft and LVE rated as the #25 prosepct in the draft then take LVE because you see LB as a bigger need then you are making a mistake. Stay true to your board. Now if you have similar ratings on the players listed then you can add need to the equation.
