Albert Breer MMQB POD quotes re: Dez

"didn't do enough of the extra stuff, when to make up for it when his physical ability started to leave him"

"it came down to stuff like doing squats, like they couldn't get him to do squats. and he was losing inches off his vertical."

"tryin' to tell him, Dez you're losing explosiveness and they couldn't get him on board with it, maybe this is the shakeup he needs"

Pretty harsh words. Likely coming from coaches, but still.

But ... but why is anyone surprised at the assessment?

He was the hardest working at running his mouth. Does that count for anything?
My fave quote, judgetarian, is "We be the best in the NFL!"
And
It's not about the money.
Dez was clownish and inarticulate like Irvin, but with half the talent of Mikey.

Very well said orator!
Per NFL network.... our most feared WR via defensive coordinators was Cole Beasley... maybe that is why is production went way down... But.... really, management should of known the WR corps was shot... That may explain the lack of production from Dak and now they are going to stack 8 in the box against Zeke... This should of been addressed before now.... But I guess we got to start somewhere...

Dez is much more talented then Michael and it showed up in the stat sheet.

Michael was fortunate enough to not play with Dak Prescott.

Drugs.
Don't do it, naïve naif (yes, a redundancy, but needed in this instance, ruffians!).

If that is true, why isn't the NFL, at this moment, beating down the doors to Dezpicable?
I trust Dez Weill end up with a star quarterback. If so, what is his excuse then?

I agree with you in that Dez is more physically talented than Irvin. He was absolutely blessed from an athletic standpoint. HOWEVER, nobody worked harder than Michael Irvin. I taught for 35 years, and I loved having kids with a lot of God-given talent. Given the choice, however, i would choose kids with a superior work ethic 10 times out of 10.

I don't share your take on Dak Prescott. I think it's just too early to make a final judgement on him and his accuracy.

The Fan Bois will find some excuse. They are unlimited!

Dez had the intellect and emotional maturity of a schrew!

They used to report how he would do too much and they had to dial him back.

Now they’re like... Welllll... He won’t squat.

Dez being lazy is laughable. I can buy him not wanting to do something they asked but Dez not being a hard worker is a joke.

Blah blah blah.

Dak sucks at throwing. That’s the real problem.

I don’t see Dez as anything but a lazy man’s T.O.
