Ok, you sold me NWD40. Now let's go get WR DJ Chark! He would seriously spread opposing defenses out/deep and help our slower receiving crew get open underneath.

CHARK

Our boy in Dallas claims he is a lsu alum and Chark is inconsistent and very light in fundamentals. Speed is great, receiver fundamentals low round pick!

Cause I have always hid? Only been posting on the same boards as you for 15+ years.

15 years? This board goes back to a previous iteration in the late 90's There are some here from the old DMN board before that.

I pretty much own the opinions I have had that are wrong. I still admit I was high on Carpenter.

But I also get over old news. Seems like you just can't let go of 7 years ago. I wonder why?

Town of 200 people. 8 man football. They lit the fields with headlights at night. Walk on at Boise State. What’s not to like about the back story?
Dairy Queen parking lot after the game and not to mention the town dance with that special gal. I shed tears as I type this wondering if he still thinks of that old swing by the pond where he was taken to and baptized at the age of 7.

I love the pick.

I really don’t get what people don’t see in him? Like please tell me. What is wrong with Vander Esch?

Our pass defense just improved in its weakest spot.

We just got a guy that can actually TACKLE and will stick his head in a pile!!!

This single pick just got me excited for the 2018 season...

You are prepared to be surprised, in a good way. I've posted this before, but appropriate again. I live in Boise. Went to BSU home games. Went in person to LVE's pro day... Being as objective as I can be, this guy is, at a minimum, Karlos Dansby. At a maximum, Brian Urhlacher... Simply put, 6'4" 256 lb guys do NOT move like this guy does. He is the best coverage MLB in this draft. His backpedal is effortless and fluid. He opens his hips like a CB. And with his 6'4" height and wingspan, 39.5" vert, and great range, he closes that window in the middle of the field. Makes it so hard for QB's to fit passes into that middle seam or throw over him. In today's NFL, that is huge... Further, I believe it was proven last year that Jaylon Smith is a far better OLB, than he is a MLB. Let him come off the edge and cover TE's. LVE's instincts at MLB are so much better than Jaylon's. Plus, he weighs 256 and has room for another 10lbs without losing any quickness... Where LVE needs to improve is take on. But not because he's not physical (forget the Bobby Carpenter comparisons, they are wrong and lazy). He IS physical. But he is so athletic, he often tries (and succeeds) to slip around blockers. He will get coached up on that... Also, the draft is a projection. And LVE's athleticism is off the charts. At 256, he ran a 4.65 40. And add to that a 3 cone of 6.88. That is the SAME as Calvin Ridley and better than DJ Moore (6.95). Last, he had a vertical of 39.5". That is the SAME as DJ Moore and 8.5" higher than Ridley. For a MLB. Think about that and let it sink in. He is an athletic freak, and an ascending player... Finally, he is a really good kid. High school championships in 8 man football and basketball. He is a self made player. Walk on. Team captain. He will not stop working. He is the anti-Dez... Fellas, do not be disappointed. You will love this guy.
Thanks for the great post. Very informative. I agree with you. We got a player on defense.

What exactly is a "stinger"? I've heard that term get thrown around a lot the last 30 years and was never clear on it. Is his neck something to be concerned about? What I mean by concern, is any joint, ligament or disk damage? Does anyone know anything else about his ability to stay on the field. He sounds great, but Sean Lee is great for 8 games or so a season. I don't want another great, highly paid linebacker that is hurt and can't play. I do feel much better about the pick since reading the write up OP did. Thank you for that.

I’m not a doctor. But I believe a stinger is just a pinched nerve.

Usually nothing long term. Remember Demarcus Ware and he came back the next week for the game winning sack against New Orleans?

Something may not be right with Miller. Was he on the Cowboys visit list?
I believe he was, but not positive. His production will translate.

Key Stat: Has the two highest receiving totals in program history, catching 95 balls in 2016 and then 96 in 2017. He’s the only player in school history to record consecutive 1,400-yard receiving seasons.

The kid can play.

Big believer in production.

It must be cool to see so many of your Boise guys play for Dallas.

They're gonna run at this kid and rag doll him. He's a safety in a waffish thin linebackers body. He might turn into something and I'll gladly eat crow, but right now I hate it.
Either this post is in jest or it's the most moronic one I've ever seen. A thin body???? I guess if 256 lbs. is thin, you're correct. LOL

Does that Boise St field ever bother you? I always wanted to ask that. I think it is pretty cool looking but wouldn’t be suprised if I would get some sort of migraine looking at it for to long.

How many years at how many positions did Urlacher have experience? The only reason anyone is comparing him to Urlacher is because he's white. If he turns into Urlacher, I'll have to change my pants from excitement, but right now, at this point in their careers, he's.not half what Urlacher was.

Urlacher was a Safety at New Mexico and played in an unorthodox college scheme, so... he actually had zero experience playing LB when he was drafted. He was a pure projection by Chicago.

Nice try though.

Miller. I'd trade up to get him. Much easier to trade into the second than the first. Amazing hands. He is going to be very effective in the NFL.

If Miller blows up in the league I’m going to be upset with myself for not whining more on the forum for us to draft him.

He just screams Antonio Brown part 2.
