I hear you but I don't think it's going to be that hard. Witten has just been average. We will certainly miss his leadership but not so much his production. Dez is the classical addition by subtraction. His antics had worn out the other players and coaches. So we are improved as we sit here today.

Witten was clearly the best TE on this team and was a good security blanket for Dak who likes good route runners who can get open. Witten was great in the redzone and knew how to find seams in the defense. He was one of our best chain movers. With Hanna and Witten retiring it’s a left the Cowboys in a tough spot. As for Dez I don’t see losing your best WR as addition by subtraction. Losing both Witten and Dez has left a couple of big holes on offense.

Witten was certainly not "clearly" the best TE on the team. He played in 97% of the offensive plays so we never got the chance to see anyone else.

What ever makes you happy. But you're wrong. If those teams are bad, then the AFC really sucks because they only have two legit teams.

The AFC sucks a lot more than the NFC, but that doesn't make the NFC good.

The Patriots and Steelers are the only two teams anywhere close to Philly, Minny and LA, and they're clearly behind them at this point.

Not saying any of the TEs in the draft this year can replace HOF Witten, but I do think this is a pretty underrated TE class.

I've had my eye on Goedert the past few months and think he'd be a great replacement.

That shows just how little football knowledge you have. If the coaches thought anyone was better than Witten they would have been playing them. Hanna was the second most productive TE next to Witten and he retired. He’s probably regretting that decision now.
